I absolutely love Madelyn Rychlick! I have been blonde for a very long time and I could never find someone who could color my hair the way I want it. Ive been going to Madelyn for years now and I leave happy with her work every single time. Not only is she talented in what she does but she also is so much fun to be around. I get compliments on my hair all the time and I have many family members that now go to her. I can’t recommend her enough!!Services: Bang trim

Saw Ashley for the 1st time. She was wonderful, educated me on possible styles for thinner hair and products, was careful cutting, reasonable price. Super happy I finally found a hair stylist after all these years, like finding gold.Service: Haircut

I'm so disappointed. I decided to go back to Dosha even though it's an hour drive because years ago I used to get my hair done and had great results. I needed a great cut. I get there show her a pic of what I want it was nothing major. In the past the level of stylists were different a level one was the same as s regular stylist, then it goes up from there. This girl started the process, she then consulted with some people up front. I asked how long she had been doing hair, and find out she just finished school less than two months ago. Even at that I thought well she may have fresh ideas. Not. I ended up with nothing even close to what I wanted. I have an uneven mullet one side is longer, the back flips up the top is heavy. It's awful. Clearly Dosha no longer provides high quality cuts could have gone to super cuts and Gotten a better cut!

I am so disappointed to have to write a review like this, but since my conversation with the manager of the salon, I actually feel a bit as if I was discriminated against. I wanted to wait to write the review, because I didn’t want to write it out of anger, and be rash. I have been utilizing Dosha salon for over 10 years maybe longer, really since they opened, and have been using the same stylist. I had an appointment set up for today. I called in to schedule an additional appointment for my husband, and they stated I didn’t have an appointment. When I pointed out that I made the reservation online and also had an email confirmation, I was told that they were fully booked and there’s nothing else they can do. Upon my request, I began speaking with the manager who for some reason was extremely disrespectful and rude. When I explain to her that I made this appointment a days ago and even had an email confirmation, she stated that it didn’t matter, and that the last time I was in the salon that I made the entire staff feel very uncomfortable with some of the things I stated. When she told me this, I knew it was an absolute lie, because I remembered specifically having a great conversation with my stylist, and upon leaving, she asked me if I wanted to rebook and even gave me a hug.The manager, then explain to me that I was no longer allowed in any of the salons. When she was explaining this to me, I immediately felt that she was either confusing me with someone else, or made up this entire story because they accidentally double booked. I then politely asked her what was said that made people feel uncomfortable. She then stated that she didn’t know. I then became frustrated and told her that if I was going to be kicked out of the salon, you should at least have the decency to give me an example. She then stated that she would not give me an example and then hung up on me.As you can imagine, this whole conversation completely caught me off guard and it made me feel absolutely horrible even though deep down I know I didn’t do anything to deserve any of this.

I've been cutting my own hair for years so I'm really not that picky, but last week I came to Dosha at Bridgeport Village and got a surprisingly bad haircut. I explained what I wanted and even showed them a photo. In substance, I wanted to grow out the top of my hair and just have the sides trimmed and blended. Instead before I knew it, I was given a crewcut. I didn't say anything because by then it was too late and what would I have accomplished. In addition to my bad haircut, a female who is apparently the manager was either having a very bad day or she is just extremely rude. I didn't speak with her but I witnessed her interacting with two other customers (one who was also complaining about their haircut) and man, she as so rude and completely unfriendly. Love the location but will definitely not go back.Service: Haircut

It's getting rundown (chairs are cracked/peeled) and impersonal. You sign into an iPad when you arrive, and your stylist comes for you when ready. Schedule while there because the online system only allows 1 service per appt and heaven forbid you have to call...the scheduler is cranky and short, almost snappy. Great stylists, though. Only reason I keep going

Reviewing today because I Asked for a haircut, and got it completely wrong with no reimbursement nor apologies. Super cut level of service. The reason I say that is because stylist ignored the person standing up front for 5-10 minutes. Turns out they have no one up-front and must rely on people from the back. Service is a must in this industryServices: Haircut

I trust my hair color with no one except Kim Botner. As a blonde, I am VERY particular about the tone and look of my highlights. Anyone with blonde hair knows it is not an easy shade to do).10 years ago, I came to Kim in distress because I had (what I referred to as) "golden retriever blonde" hair after a series of unfortunate events. Kim explained the process for correcting my color and - people - it is not always an overnight fix! First off, my hair was fried from the other treatments I had done, so we had to take our time. She couldn't just bleach over bleach and have my hair fall out! Instead, we built a plan and eventually my color became what it is today - a perfect blend and tone of neutral blonde. I have even had other stylists who specialize in blonde ask me where I go because it's so good.Kim is professional, friendly, knows the science behind color, and truly cares about her craft. I would highly recommend her to anyone - and have sent many friends her way.Services: Hair highlighting

Remember the old days at Aveda salons? When they would actually greet you and offer some tea, maybe even a hand massage. Ummm not here. I was 5-10 minutes late. No receptionist, not even a chair in the waiting area, just a messy pile of salon chairs and self check in that didn’t work while five stylists ignored the person standing up front for 5-10 minutes. Finally someone asks me what I needed. I’m told I’m 16 minutes late for my appointment time, and I can’t be accommodated. Really. Supercuts level of service here.Service: Haircut

Terrible experience and customer service. They rescheduled me 3 times, so my hair was extremely grown out by the time I was able to finally get in the salon. They then wanted to charge me over $750 to fill in my hair and do a recolor. My hair wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't cancel my appointment so many times. Their response was "well, her prices are her prices." They offered no alternative or anything to fix what they caused. Definitely one of the worst salon I have ever been to.

My wife scheduled out over a month in advance for our wedding to get her hair done and was treated very poorly. Kim Botner, refused to do her hair, (made assumptions about what hair products she used and said she wouldn’t touch her hair because her assistant melted someone’s hair the other day who used those products, she hadn’t btw) and was very unkind in the way she spoke to her.The delivery and way you treat people matter in this his world. She didn’t even offer to help with with anything else. A trim, shampoo, blowout, deep conditioning treatment, styling, any of these things could have been offered. But she simply sent her away, with money in her pocket.Your integrity should mean something, who do you think you are making people feel this way? Judging people and making assumptions even though she specifically told you she didn’t use the products you were afraid she did. You also had someone in your chair less than 15 minutes after we left so it makes me feel like you double booked and high priority client and sent us away.Shame on you, you are a hair stylist. Who do you think you are? Even if this is how you felt your bedside manner was awful. BE KIND TO PEOPLE.If you want to be judged and spoken to in a condescending manner by all means go see Kim. If you would like to be treated like a human being I would recommend someone else.

I saw Laurie, and she did a fantastic job! Laurie added some vibrant, rich blue undertones to my hair, then finished off the top layers with beautiful and refreshing highlights. We wrapped up with a toner and cut. This was my first time seeing Laurie, and she was able to give me exactly what I asked for. :)Services: Hairstyling

I had a wonderful experience with Kim Botner. She's a national award winning stylist...a real artist with what she does. It's not inexpensive but totally worth every cent. I'm so happy with my color and style!
