I would definitely recommend shopping around before choosing du fresnes. They charged me nearly $1300 for brakes and the the hourly rate is atrocious. They were able to do the job quickly, not a very busy place so that’s a plus. I definitely felt like I got scammed and wish I wasn’t in a hurry to get them done.

I'll definitely be coming here from now on instead of the dealership.Other highly rated shops in the area only offer drop off, so being able to make a waiting appointment here was great. I don't have to liberty of going without my car for the day, so thank you for doing the work quickly and helping me get on my way.I got an oil change, it was well priced and only took 45 minutes. The mechanic even vacuumed my car out, big thank you.I'll be back again, and again.Service: Oil change

They were amazing to work with. My rear brake pads was in a decent condition and they honestly shared it should be ok for another 9 months or so whereas BMW service center sounded like it has to be more urgently done. Dufresne also identified a faulty alternator, ordered a new part from out of state, fixed it and gave my car back ahead of their initial projection date. Will go with them for future services too!

Fantastic people. They are friendly, responsive and easy on your pocket book. The premises blend in with the neighborhood. I passed it several times before I realized it was not a grocery store, or donut shop. This was my second time in for repairs and both times my wife and I were astounded by their service.

I was a loyal customer at Du Fresnes for close to 3 years. After many services and thousands of dollars spent at this shop, I had a recent experience that left me feeling completely shocked and disrespected. The shop performed a faulty install of my front wheel bearing that caused me to be broken down on the side on the I-5 during rush hour. After getting towed back to their shop and being assured that I’d be reimbursed for the expenses, the office manager, Nancy, refused to reimburse my full towing charge. To top it off she was extremely rude and condescending in her handling of the situation. It’s disappointing to receive this treatment after the support and loyalty I’ve shown. I will not be returning to a business that doesn’t respect their customer, ESPECIALLY when it was their error!Note: I attempted to resolve this matter privately with the shop, however no one responded to my emails.

I'm so glad I contacted DuFresne's. I had taken my Durango to the dealership for what seemed like a bad starter, I got an assessment that just didn't line up. Preston at Du Fresne''s was willing to look at the images of the issue and give advice while the vehicle was still at the dealership. In the end it became quite clear that the repairs recommended by the dealership were not required. I had my vehicle towed to Du Fresne's and was very happy with the service, the attention to detail and the transparency. So happy to have found the shop I will go to for all future repairs.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Took my car in because of a slow start, left with no solution and charged $160 for that. Of course, I understand labor costs money, but Preston told me on the phone his guys worked on my car for one hour in total. $160/hour with no solution. Also- lied in the report, my engine is still not starting normally.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Dropped my Suburu off for an oil change and to diagnose an issue with windshield washer fluid level low warning. Not convinced they actually diagnosed the issue beyond topping off the fluid and saying the reservior would need to be replaced. When quoting that cost, the mark up on the part was over 75% over the public cost at the dealership (I would expect some markup...but that seems a bit excessive.) I went home and found info on the issue in the Outback forums, including a copy of the TSB for diagnosing that issue. I only had the tools to do the first step, which was checking the sensor connection to make sure it wasn't loose. I followed those instructions and lo and behold, the warning turned off. Very disappointed in my first experience with this shop...was hoping for better since this vehicle had been previously serviced here by the previous owner and it was convienant to home.Update after the response: The dealer's public cost for the part was $101 and your cost was $177. Even if that is only a 57% markup...that's still pretty steep (my cousin runs a shop in Eugene and let me know his typical markup is 20-40%). There wasn't any diagnosis done on the puddle lights as I had already explained that they weren't able to have the bulbs replaced and that what needed to be checked was the fuse/wiring. When I stopped by this morning to ask about these things...that's when a refund should have been offered...I shouldn't have to follow up further...you have my contact information.Services: Vehicle safety inspection

I had an engine problem and the dealership was a two week wait just to diagnose the problem. I had driven by Du Fresne's for years and noted it was always busy, with nice cars, so I decided to give them a try. I made an appointment on Tuesday for a Thursday diagnosis. They had the problem identified by noon, got the parts ordered, and I was back on the road by mid-day on Friday.Of course the nature of the problem helped with the timing. But the staff was very efficient and thorough so process from walking in for an appointment to driving my car of the lot was as fast as could be expected. I am pleased.

Du Fresne's is great. We had been looking for a place to take our vehicles rather than continuing to over pay for service at the dealership. Du Fresne's was able to quickly get our vehicle in and evaluate what needed repairing. Mario was incredibly knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. He explained what needed to be fixed and what didnt. I would highly recommend using Du Fresne's for your car repair needs.

Worst service ever. I first took my car for alignment check. Nothing wrong with my car but just want to have an alignment since I haven't done it for a long time. they serviced it for alignment and then a week later alignment is way off making the car un-drivable. took it back and they said they fixed it. Again 3 weeks later alignment goes haywire and car is un-drivable again. My son called and they gave him an appt. a week later, which means we lost a means of transportation until they can look at it. Obviously we couldn't wait for that, so we took it to the dealer and the dealer said whoever worked on it did not know what they were doing, Dealer charged me $170, that after paying Dufresne $140 for alignment first time I took it there which never worked.on previous occasion, I took it to Dufresne to work on oil leak and charged me over $3000, and car is still leaking oil...IO would never use them again as they are overpriced, incompetent car service. don't waste your money, take it to dealer, save yourself headache, sanity and your money.Services: General repairs & maintenance

on August 14, 2023 at 11:15 am, I spoke on the phone with a female receptionist to request to schedule a mechanical service and quote statement. I called like last time but unfortunately interacted with a different person. In comparison to my last interaction with them, I had a drastic experience. Last Fall, i was able to just drive up and receive a diagnosis when I visited them. Considering her role to represent customer engagement, I couldn't even finish my questions without her interruption throughout the one minute phone call. Despite expressing my urgency to meet the DEQ requirement, i asked to schedule for the earliest convenience on friday. additionally, I expressed I will be looking for other options in hope of addressing my issues earlier than Friday. I also told her I would call her if scheduling for Friday changed. She refused to service me and hung up the phone. I would suggest Du Fresne improve their receptionists, i hope they dont miss out on more potential services.
