Gordon is awesome! He's been training me for the last 6 months and I really enjoy it -- lots of variety, tough (in the best way) workouts, that I always feel great about. Definitely getting stronger which I am excited about.

I contacted Gordon at Energy Fitness almost three years ago and it's one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. Gordon listened to my goals and circumstances before recommending that I work with Scott Hollinger. It has been a perfect match. I've seen a number of trainers over the years and Scott is the best by a country mile. He consistently pushes me while remaining incredibly supportive and encouraging, and he has adjusted my workouts to accommodate a variety of challenges, including the pandemic. I look forward to each session and Scott is a true friend. The facilities and equipment are great but it's the people of Energy Fitness that set it apart. I'm so glad I gave myself the chance to meet and join them.

I was so lucky and grateful to have been a client of Gordon's for several years (2016-2019) while I lived in Portland, OR and I cannot recommend him and his gym enough. First and foremost, what truly makes a great place to workout and learn more about developing a healthy lifestyle is definitely the people. I was so lucky to work with Gordon the owner - he knows so much about improving overall health in a safe and motivating way. He cares deeply for every client that enters the gym whether he trains them personally, or they work with one of the other trainers in the gym. Gordon offered me a safe and positive environment to learn and feel supported. Coming from someone who has struggled his entire life with fitness and developing strong routines, I always looked forward to going to Energy Fitness to workout with Gordon. He is a fantastic trainer and even better human being. I also encountered many other trainers while I was working with Gordon who were also always kind and supportive, and I enjoyed talking to them as well. Secondly, the facility is EXCELLENT! I was fortunate to see the gym expand into a larger space during my time there, and the expansion made a huge difference. The equipment is all in great shape, the gym is super clean, and the location is in one of the best neighborhoods in the downtown area. If you are looking for a welcoming gym experience where you are supported and able to work toward your fitness goals in a positive, life-changing way, then I highly recommend Energy Fitness. I learned more about how the body works and how to improve balance, flexibility and to feel more centered during my time at Energy Fitness. If I were still living in the Portland area, there is absolutely no doubt that I would still be working out with Gordon every single week.

I've been training with Gordon since he opened Energy Fitness. He has tailored our workouts to meet my changing needs from recovery from injuries to preparing for specific other physical activities. I'm one of his older clients so his attention to things like strength and balance where I need it most may some day be a life saver. Thanks Gordon for all you do and soon with my vaccinations behind me I will feel better than ever.

I've been working with Gordon at Energy Fitness twice a week for just over a year now, and the difference he has made to my strength, fitness, and balance is huge. My physical therapist recommended Energy Fitness after I had been in PT for eight months slowly recovering from a back injury, and I can't say enough good things about how Gordon understood my injury and what needed to be done, how to gently continue the rehab work and then build on it, and how to help me avoid future injury and get stronger. The gym itself is light and airy with plenty of space for the trainers and clients. They're doing a great job of social distancing, mask wearing, health and temperature checks, and sanitation in the time of COVID, plus Gordon and the other trainers are working successfully with clients via video calls. Love this place - great energy, challenging and interesting workouts, nice space and equipment, friendly people, and expert help.

The trainers at Energy Fitness are great and inventive so you never get bored! It’s the perfect size of gym with personal attention. I’ve been working with Jared for over 7 years! I love everyone’s positive energy and family-like feeling.

Energy Fitness is a great choice for anyone tired of crowded big-box gyms with inexperienced personal trainers. At Energy Fitness you get personal attention from knowledgeable trainers in a well-equipped facility. Energy Fitness has a mix of trainers to meet your needs regardless of your age or previous fitness experience. I have trained with Jared for more than five years now and he is a super trainer and a really nice guy too. He always finds a way to change up my fitness routine and keep it interesting. Energy Fitness doesn't need to hook you in with long-term contracts, you'll keep coming back because of the results you will see when you train with professionals like Jared and the Energy Fitness team.

Before my first class, I met with Gordon, the owner, to learn more about energy fitness. Gordon explained their process and asked about my fitness history and goals. He matched me with Jared, who is fantastic! Jared has tons of experience, varies the workout to keep things interesting, and gives me excercises to practice outside of energy’s gym. He’s helped me strengthen my injured shoulder and taught me proper technique to reduce the risk of injury going forward. Would highly recommend!!

VINCENT PARKS FITNESS @ Energy Fitness Years ago, following a surgery, I had trouble getting my mobility back. Having been laid up caused my back to weaken which has always suffered from a high school injury. Chiropractors helped, but the real gains were in core strengthening and mobility work with Vincent Parks. Vince coupled his personal training skills with his keen awareness of how energy flows, and it worked. As a follow up to this experience, I returned to see Vince again after a car accident and shoulder injury in 2014. My experience was the same. Keep in mind, I went to physical therapy on the insurance for 9 months. It wasn't nearly as useful. Vince takes the approach of a team mate. We work together to solve the issues that I want to work on. And everything is easier as a team. Thanks Vincent Parks!
