2+ year customer here. Evolution is hands-down the best salon I've ever been to. If you're browsing salons, wondering about a change, I'm here to tell you that you've struck gold! Look no further! I'm serious.
I came here when I moved from Seattle and had to find a new salon home. I thought I was happy with my former salon...I just hadn't known what I was missing.
Tanja possesses truly supernatural coloring skills and I trust her implicitly. She not only wants every client to look beautiful, but also knows exactly how to achieve it. Makenzie is a styling whiz who keeps my curls beautifully trimmed (curly folks take note!), and also gave me the best blow-out I can remember! Recently, I took advantage of their esthetician services and got microblading for the first time. I'd never had the nerve to take the plunge before, but these peeps earned my trust, and I'm thrilled to say that Souha did not disappoint! She's a perfectionist --- something I love in an esthetician! She walked me carefully through the process, kept me informed along the way, and made sure I was happy. I'm already planning more services with her.
The entire Evolution team is highly skilled and genuine. They are consummate professionals and real people who really care about their clients. The icing on this multilayer cake is honest, competitive pricing. Don't pay more to look worse, like I did before discovering Evolution. Get in here!

Dennis is amazing! I don’t remember ever leaving a haircut feeling this good. He took the time to really listen to what I was looking for, what I liked about my hair, and what I didn’t, which made all the difference. As someone who’s really picky about haircuts, I was impressed by how he understood my needs and gave thoughtful, personalized tips on embracing my new postpartum curls. I’m thrilled to have found someone I can trust and am confident this will be my go-to place for all my hair needs moving forward. Thank you for a fantastic experience.

So happy I chose Evolution Hair Design for my color recently. They have a very talented, friendly staff and I am so happy with the way my hair turned out. Plus they offer complimentary drinks and sell Moroccan Oil products; I was in 7th heaven! ;) I'm definitely a happy and satisfied customer. :D

Makenzie Is amazing! She's been doing my hair for a couple of years now and she's the only one I trust to cut my hair. She's super sweet, friendly, and keeps good conversations while she's helping you. I would HIGHLY recommend her. :)

I came in with a test…no, kidding, but if I had, Tanja would’ve passed with flying colors! My hair has never looked this good, and the highlights are so perfect that I have family asking where I got them done and how soon appointments are available! Now, in the future, I’ll have to fly back from LA because I don’t trust anyone else :).

This salon is a hidden gem. I was looking for a hairstylist who understands and feels my needs for a while since we moved to Portland, and I found her! Ms. Makenzie is doing great job, she is very attentive to details, and since I met her, I keep getting tons of compliments on my hair. Now both my husband and I are thankful customers:)

Highly recommended. The salon is very clean, and personnel are friendly. My personal favorite is Makenzie, she’s been taking care of my hair since last year. I do regret that I have move from Portland, partly because I don’t know if I could find as friendly and skilled as Makenzie in my new town. Best of luck for her in her career.

Amazing Salon! I am new to Portland and this is going to be my forever salon. I can honestly say that I don't think my hair has ever looked this good! Tanja and Dennis are absolute professionals. McKenzie is my go-to for cuts. ✂️Consistent openings, but getting busier.Moderate pricing.Appreciate the scalp massages. ?Recommend brushing the hairs off your face at the end of your appt...before eating. ?
