We had good luck and prices from Ferrelgas. those I want to top up my 500 gallon tank from 72 to max 85% to take advantage of $2.19 special and I am still waiting if been 3 weeks. , they prefer filling at 25% to 85

Ferrell offers propane at a good price but it comes with baggage. Some think its easy to get your home tank filled but I find it is not. 200 gallon minimum or there is a fee ($75). Prepay and wait a week or two for them to show up. Or submit to a credit check in order to not prepay. Try to find out when the service is coming and you are stuck with the website and learn its peculiarities or call and wait a long time for them to work their system to find you and maybe you will het an answer. (I find paying $$$ and being left in limbo about when you will get your gas particularly annoying - they have my $500 and it is weeks before I get a delivery)I miss the ‘old days’ of calling my local supplier, them arriving in a day or two, giving them a check and its done.

From the beginning to the end my whole experience was a disaster. I would never do business with a company whose employees are either just stupid or retarded. Maybe it's the company policies to not communicate with the rest of the team whose is involved with your service? Even the accounting was a mess and took forever to be corrected. Do not, I repeat, do not use this company....

Very very disappointed with this company, management, etc. I had came to fill tanks for my business, I asked to speak to the manager because I had wanted to know why no truck had came to fill my tanks (which they usually do) hence why I had to come to this location . They said she was busy and she'd come right out to talk to me, After waiting about 30 minutes I see a dark haired lady come stumbling out of the office with an open wine bottle in hand getting in a work truck, (smart). One of the guys said that was the manager leaving, and sorry that I needed to call customer service... I am cancelling my service with Ferrell.

Ferrell gas has always treated us well, and there is never a wait. Only open during the week, so I have to schedule into my week. They also service expired tanks for a moderate price, which took a few days. The guys working there have worked there forever, it seems. They sell new tanks also, different sizes.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!I would give zero stars if possible. Had the tank set over a 3 months ago for a 40 foot RV with one person living in it full time. It took 2 weeks for them to come back and do the first fill up. Set up auto fill every 3 weeks. When 3 weeks rolled around they were a no show. Called because the tank showed below 30% said they were 2 weeks out on deliveries. (I thought we were on auto delivery). Called daily as the 120 gallon tank ran completely out - now one week PAST the 3 week auto delivery date. Resorted to using the 7 gallon tanks so at least the RV has heat. Supposedly put on urgent delivery yesterday - no one showed up. Called again today and they still cannot guarantee anyone will be here today. Every time we call you are on hold for at least 10-15 minutes before someone answers. Then you start from ground zero with why you are calling. Really regret our decision in going with Ferrell . They do not care about their customers at all.

Pretty much got the run around trying to get two small propane bottles recertified. I live at the coast and spoke with a representative twice over the phone and was told that there was no appointment needed, just show up anytime.So, drove 2 hours just to be told at the Lombard facility that they couldn't do it because of the lack of personnel.They did, however, recommend a store about another 15 miles away.... who did the task timely and reasonably priced.Unlikely that I will use any Ferral gas facility in the future if they can't figure out how to communicate even amongst themselves!

Horrible customer service. Cannot seems to get the propane to the tank in the winter in a timely and professional manner. Ferrell gas does not care if you run out of gas, they show up when it is convenient for them not the customer.

Great Company to work with. Very easy to call and get set up with a fill within a week. Great customer service and good pricing with other competitors, and seem to have specials often to save $$$.

Staff in the field are AMAZING, flexible and great "installers" (THEY earned the 3 stars).Staff in the office have no interest in being helpful or even kind. I've tried for THREE years just to get them to update my damn mailing address. I had issue with my gas stove starting after a fill last time. They basically said to look it up online - and didn't offer ANY help. All in all, too big to care about their customers - the curse of many large companies. I'd use someone else if possible.

Make sure when you call, you talk to the person at the location, not the regional call person. I was sent on a 45 min drive each way, to find out what he could have told me on the phone in the first place

Signed up for auto, reordered upright bottles, work order put in for monitoring system, this was 6 months ago. Haven’t heard from anyone since, people were nice, but that only goes so far.
