Store is a total mess. They have no employees and have apparently eliminated many prices and replaced with QR codes. Macys is closing stores and this should be one of them. I finally gave up and went to target. The manager here is a hopeless clown and should be immediately fired.

This is your average macys that maybe had seen better days! This location is within the Washington square mall. This is your typical macys department store plus a macys backstage that has discounted items for sale. This may be due to the after holiday season busy time but most of their items were disorganized and crammed into every space possible. I would say wait for sales as they happen often and you can usually get a decent price. I got a $69 tie for $14 on clearance. They also have makeup and perfume counters with their own attendants.

Your CEO is worth many millions and yet you don't allow returns after 30 days. Will never shop here again. "The estimated Net Worth of Jeffrey Gennette is at least $35.3 Million dollars as of 9 July 2023. Mr. Gennette owns over 136,689 units of Macy`s Inc stock worth over $12,656,295 and over the last 15 years he sold M stock worth over $12,318,162. In addition, he makes $10,308,800 as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at Macy`s Inc."

They cancelled our pick up orders and didn't refund full amount. The whole team At Your Service including the beauty manager named Carley!!! didn't know how to solve the problem and made us wait 1.5 hours. They tried to fool us with all non sense facts and the more they talked the more stupid they became in that situation Until we asked for another supervisor. Mary stepped in and immediately knew where the problem was and refunded us the remaining balance. It's a waste of time to deal with employees at this store. They need to use their brain before communicating with customers. Yes it's a matter of time that Macy's will fall because of these stupid employees and after they changed return policy to 1 month. For superior customer service, I recommend shopping at Nordstrom.

Standard Macy's, but the selection is pretty small from what I've been used to compared to most Macy's. They had a limited colors/sizes in a few options. However, I still found a few things that I liked. Staff is super helpful. IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Hard to believe this store is lower than sears used to be. Awful, cheap merchandise, pathetic workers who don't know their merchandise nor do they try to help sell something. And the registers are often a problem. They need an energy shot for the Buyers and the sellers. This store is a ghost of what Macy's was at one time. Disappointing and actually rather sad . It's a matter of time that they will fail. They don't understand their customers nor marketing!

If you're thinking about buying oriental rugs from Macys, our advice is don't. We bought two expensive rugs. We were charged for rugs we never ordered, and for ones we canceled because they weren't in stock. They did credit us eventually. Delivery woes. Worse was that we thought Macy's would take care of delivery, which was expensive. Boy were we mistaken. They contract with FedEx and then wash their hands of it entirely. They take zero responsibility for the delivery process. Here's what happened. First, they delivered a rug we hadn't ordered and which Macy's had no tracking number for. Second, they delivered a rug on the requested day and time, but they forced my 70 year-old husband to take 9x13" rug from the truck. The packing list said it was over 100 lbs although it probably wasn't. Still heavy, tho. Third, they delivered a rug to the wrong address on the wrong day and time. Fourth, we paid to change the delivery dates, times, and addresses. One was OK, the other was not. We've had super service when we've had furniture delivered. But not these rugs.

First things first: I absolutely love the online shopping experience of Macy's. There is a bigger selection and I don't know about y'all, but shipping is always fast and free. Because I buy so much online, if I'm ordering certain items, such a pants, shoes, or cosmetics, I'll order a couple different sizes or colors to try on and will make the trip out to Washington Square to return the stuff that didn't work for me. It usually works out fine but on a couple of occasions they told me the window of time to make returns was closed and I couldn't return the items. For example, I bought a lipstick from the MAC counter on January 23rd, 2023. I returned 3 bags of shoes and clothing yesterday, April 22nd, 2023, along with 3 Urban Decay lipsticks. MAC wouldn't refund or exchange the lipstick I bought from them. When I bought it, (I still think the color is beautiful) they told me it wouldn't transfer and that it was especially long wearing. It came off on my Snow White winter parka. I always wait until I have a bunch of stuff to return before I'll make the journey from downtown out to Washington Square. They told me I waited too long, sorry, I'm stuck with that stupid lipstick. Nordstrom would never do that. Nordstrom has taken things back well beyond 3 months past my purchase date. In my opinion, Nordstrom has far superior customer service compared to Macy's. I always pay with my purchases with my platinum Macy's card so there is never an issue with did I actually buy the items. For as much money that I spend at Macy's, they should give me better customer service. I'm disappointed in the in person shopping experience because of their return policy and in addition, there are never enough employees working the registers and the wait time to actually make the return is dismal. For superior customer service, I recommend shopping at Nordstrom. 2023 - Review # 8

Macy's, You are a shadow of your former self! Your stock is completely chaotic, your 2 dressing rooms decaying (some even smell bad!). It took 20 minutes to purchase one item and it wasn't even during the busy time. Don't you recognize you must do better to attract customers?? There's a reason why people don't want to come to malls anymore, you are a prime example of why. Sad!

This locations is the second smallest macys I've been in. It has some good clothing companies. Nice selection on pajamas and under clothing. I love the new Silver jeans they are now caring. I also, get my face creams here from Clinique. Friendly helpful staff.

The fun begins when you want to buy something and they only have two checkers at the bottom level. Don't go to shoes where they are not helping anyone because they'll say, "sorry this is shoes." What a disaster thus place has turned in to lately.

FIX your air conditioner! It is so hot in the store that is unbearable! The lady at the counter said it has been broken for awhile but they have to order some parts to have it fixed. So what is stopping them? Order the parts and have your customers enjoy the shopping instead of having them marinate in their own sweat! There are just 2 fitting rooms open and two check out stations, long lines everywhere, so they keep you around even longer than needed in the humid hot store!

If I could give negative stars, I would! The service is great, employees are wonderful, BUT THEY DONT HAVE AC. It is so hot, I was sweating just trying to find sizes. I asked the people who work there and they just say, yeah- it's really hot here. Worst experience ever! Mind you it's only a 78 degree day. They should have the store at a comfortable temp. This one sucks! Highly recommend anywhere but here.

I spent a half an hour just trying to speak to a human being and I can get no one at that friggin store. I've been a long time Macy's customer. There's come from Macy's in New York City and they have gone in the toilet I am ready to quit.

I can understand that my shopping experience at Macys has changed since the pandemic started, but having returned to in store shopping I'm shocked at how bad the fitting rooms have gotten. Literally doors hanging off the frame, paint gross, just ghetto!!!
