Received a gift card for this local, healthy nail spot. A few notes. Listen to the recording when you book so you can find it. I walked around the outside building in the rain for 10 minutes. It’s tucked away on the 2nd floor, although it does face 10th Ave. Bathroom equally hard to find, and outside, with no TP.
It’s got hip, PDX vibes written all over it. I usually trim my own nails to ensure a square, even effect. I was hoping for a $66 pedi I wouldn’t have to.
Not much to say, share. Regular chair, no massager, cold copper bowl. Awkward foot placement. Lack luster exchange. Glad it’s over and hoping I have time to grow out before a trip.

First, this place is sort of hidden. Don't go off of the address alone because you'll be left standing in front of a locked building with no signage to direct you to the back of the building (on the next block over.) Secondly, this is a very small place. You sit in what feels like a reception area and they bring a bowl of soapy water over to you (no pedicure chair or bubbling bowl.) Third, I paid close to $100 (with tip) for a very basic pedicure. The polish looks very good, but I've had much better experiences for half of the price elsewhere. I won't be back.

Amber has been doing my nails for well over a year at this point in time, and she's the first person I've consistently returned to in my entire life. I feel very comfortable pointing out any flaws I see, and she is always willing to take the time to fix the things she sees and will go back and give a quick fix if there's an issue during the appointment with a coat on a nail. This salon is neurodivergent/sensory friendly, uses mostly vegan and/or cruelty free products, and I always get great compliments on my nails pretty much wherever I go!

Had a wonderful gel manicure here! The space is beautiful and sparkling clean, my nails look great and I enjoyed my conversation with the esthetician (who is also the owner) very very much! I am so happy I found this place!

I had a weird day and she was very kind about it. In the end, I was not super happy with the nails, toes, or eyebrows. Service was great though! Pedicure was in a bucket… lolServices: Pedicure

I’ve been seeing Stephanie for like 3 months straight now I believe and she has slayed every look from regular polish to gel polish!I was very hesitant and nervous my first time seeing her from all the trauma I put my nails through with all the other nearby nail salons destroying my nails.Stephanie is so patient with me when I ask for a design on regular polish to my amazing SpongeBob flowers and Mickey mice on gel polish. My nails have never been this extremely pampered from how gentle Stephanie is with filing, cleaning and applying nail polish!Kim hasn’t done my nails but I love her too because she’s just super fun to be around and how welcoming she is.The space is small and cute! So much better than any big nail salon I’ve been to in Portland and more personal. These ladies are ALWAYS BUSY and they are worth the wait!Service: Manicure

FDL is my favorite pedi place of all time. It’s a two-chair salon with gorgeous ambience and professional, skilled staff. Kim has been making my brows fabulous since 2008. Love it there!

I was really excited to go to this salon but unfortunately the customer service has completely drawn me away. I scheduled an appointment and then had to deal with a tragic and unexpected family emergency which I had to go out of town for. I reached out to cancel my appointment through the phone and they did not answer for days. I finally got a hold of them through their text services and explained my situation, I still wanted the appointed but I was in another state in and out of the hospital and they simply charged me for the entire service (which I did not receive) I then tried to follow up since their website says they amend this cancellation fee under certain circumstances (my circumstance was pretty dire) and they totally ignored me. I am completely unable to support a business that cannot even give their customers the time of day.

My review is solely based on my experience on attempting to schedule appointments. I have tried for months to schedule an appointment specifically in Feb, March and now June. The reason I keep trying is because it’s in walking distance from where I live and it would be very convenient. However the business does not return phone calls! They sometimes text back, and online booking has glitches. My biggest problem is the lack of communication and customer service with potential clients.
