Bag girls and cashiers steal from the senior people who get distracted with the stupid conversations they trigger to distract you to hide full bags from you.

Do not bring your jewelry here to fix they will damage it and then lie about it and say that you brought it that way. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Their hours are incorrect. They say the store is open until 10 but they won't let anybody in after 9:50pm. If the store closes before 10, then post your hours that it actually closes... not at the whim of a security guard or store clerk. Very, very, very dissatisfied. And just poor customer service.

I definitely loved this grocery store. It's similar to a Walmart because you can purchase groceries in one side and apparel/clothing on the other. There's even an electronics section for those who want to purchase a big flat screen television. Prices are fair and no sales tax here. I love it. The store is huge and there was even a Starbucks here at the main entrance. There's a lot of security here. Must be a lot of thefts and strange people hanging around. Plenty of parking all around the huge grocery store. Unfortunately we didn't buy anything here because we only stayed for 4 days and really didn't need anything. I loved the selection and prices here.

This Freddie's is crack head central. They love to shop the sushi section and prepared foods. Seek out these sections to watch a crack head in their natural habitat, stealing from grocery stores! Quite entertaining to watch them tweak into the corners of the store; do not bum them a ciggie and avoid eye contact as they are a wild breed. I will say the people who work here are very chill though, specifically the ones in the family friendly checkout counter. My only gripe is they stopped stocking grand central market bread.

A special "shout out" to Danielle and Jerry in the Seafood Department at Gateway FredMeyer. Danielle really understood what my needs were for Christmas Eve dinner and went the extra mile to ensure my order was safe and secure. Then the storm hit...Danielle was unable to make it in; however, Jerry was there and remembered me!!! He was able to track down my order and the day was SAVED. This is the type of customer care I grew up with and am accustom to (yet not in the past ten years).....and Danielle and Jerry gave me hope that our youth still carry on with care and concern, and keep their word. I will always be thankful for their presence...true presence...to customer service.xoxoxooxLove you two.

Some guy punches me because I got the last 1/2-sized shopping cart. In the side. Sorry, but I got there first! I approach the security guard: "That guy punched me! It's on camera. *Arrest* him. *Bar him from the store, at least, for GOOD * ... " He doesn't -- and the thing is, the COP who shows up (he works the BEAT, at the store -- INSIDE!!! ) is more interested in lamenting how "if someone pulls a gun on me, they can't do anything ... they're too busy ... you can call 9-1-1, but ... " What?? You're RIGHT *THERE* -- but that's *NOT* what I said: Vincent BUGLIOSI, the "Helter SKELTER" guy, who prosecuted Manson, said, such as it IS, in his "The Prosecution of GEORGE W. BUSH FOR MURDER" book, stay with me now, that there's a lot of confusion about what "circumstantial evidence" is ... "circumstantial evidence" is actually *everything*, but for a "smoking gun," as it's called -- which *RARELY* happens. This would be a videotape, or something else too obvious to refute -- we call it a "smoking gun" because that's it, we've had it, there's nothing for prosecutors and/or judges to do, really, but add it up: IT'S *OBVIOUS*!!! "Circumstantial evidence," despite what TV leads you to think ("It's 'only' circumstantial evidence ... " etc.), is every other last little piece, built up bit-by-bit, so you have what you might call a "mosaic of GUILT": maybe. *Maybe* it's 98% or 99% obvious, whatever-it-IS, human being still have to *decide* ... because it's *NOT* a "smoking GUN!" The guy being so STUPID as too *punch* me in the side -- "I said I warned him!" he said (to the security guard! and the COP! he hadn't GONE *AWAY*!!!) as though that MATTERS or I *HEARD* him with my *HEADPHONES* on, at the time -- was *WHY* I wanted him arrested/barred from the store ... idiot! You don't get to *PUNCH* people!!! To say the *LEAST* I was surprised, because here's what happens with a "smoking gun" assault charge: - you show up in court, no questions asked; - you have "3rd degree - Assault" following you around, for as long as it takes to walk it off, have it expunged, whatever; it's like a parking ticket, in that sense, it's a PAIN IN THE *ASS*, and makes *OTHER* charges stick *MORE*, so you *BETTER* be a *GOOD **BOY***, for a *WHILE*, idiot; and - when people check up "3rd degree - Assault," they may or may NOT know what *that* means, and they may not *BOTHER* to find out -- so *YOU* could be in for some *TROUBLE*/*AWKWARDNESS* (people don't "like" assault, these days -- particularly anyone having to do with (1.) jobs; (2.) women; and/or (3.) children). THAT'S why he deserves it -- it's SO *UNWISE*!!! (Plus I was so pissed off -- I reneged the half-shopping cart, obviously, so I guess the puncher, my abuser, my assaulter, got what HE *WANTED*, because *BOTH* the security guard and the *COP*!!! the *COP*!!! standing there were too *BUSY* lamenting their own *WOES* rather than acknowledge he was *ON CAMERA* and for being *SO UNWISE* deserved what he should be getting which is *AT LEAST* being *BARRED* from *THAT* store, for cryin' out loud -- that I *KICKED* the stand-up, sandwich-board "STARBUCKS™" sign so it fell down (thank GOD! I could *VENT* without actually *BREAKING* anything or being *LIABLE* or ETHICALLY IN THE *WRONG*), and at *THAT* point, the security guard, awakened from his daze, with the cop in remission and/or agreement, said "Don't YOU come back here ... !!!" Well, I think I won't -- because I get *ASSAULTED* there, comically, by some COMIC who's obviously not with the *MOB* or a *KILLER* because if you WERE, you wouldn't SHOPLIFT a goddamn *CANDY BAR* because it wouldn't be *WORTH YOUR WHILE* to incur the *TROUBLE*, you know what I'm *SAYING*?? I'm *NOT* scared of this guy -- at l

We bought our niece a $100.00 Amazon gift card for her baby shower. The first one we scanned didn't work and the checker told us "oh someone messed with it" so he scanned the second one and said "yep this one is good". So my niece goes to use it and someone ripped off half the #'s on the back. We take it back to Fred Meyers ( mind you we used our member # when we bought it ) and they tell us they aren't responsible, won't even help us . So my lesson to everyone is don't buy gift cards there !! Maybe they should get smart and put them at customer service behind the desk so assholes can't mess with them. As for me I have had a few problems with this store and I won't ever shop at Gateway again!!

In my personal experience and those friends of color that have been profiled and followed while shopping at this store. I was stopped and asked to show my receipt as I exited the store, strange how the first thing out of the employees or person hired by the store mouth was, "I didn't stop you because you are a minority " I complied and moved on like most POC do. It's just sad, really sad...

I did Instacart full time for several years and the first thing I did when entering a grocery store is wash my hands, I've been in grocery store bathrooms thousands of times, I've never been rushed out of a bathroom for cleaning before. Not only did he open the door and order everyone out, when another woman responded that she'd be out as soon as she was done he said she had five minutes and stood there conversing with her from the door, then, after no more than two minutes he called security in to remove the three of us in there. When asked he calmly gave his full name when the other patron told him she would speak with a manager, it seems this is acceptable behavior here. I was thankfully on my way out when security walked in but the rudeness and lack of professionalism in their treatment of customers was quiet remarkable. Needless to say, I'll go elsewhere next time I need groceries.
