Even in extreme heat, with no ac at apt and wanting to go in to get water. Was told no to bringing dog in. I guess they promote leaving dogs in the car or abandoning them in front?

I recently visited Fred Meyer to buy some food, and it quickly became clear that the store's security was targeting me. As soon as I entered, there was hardly anyone around, but then the manager, Eric, and an undercover security guard suddenly appeared. Eric smiled at me, said hi, and walked away. When I was leaving, security insisted on checking my receipt. It felt like they were specifically targeting me because I was the only brown person in the store. Eric's behavior and the actions of the security team were examples of microaggressions that felt reminiscent of Jim Crow-era discrimination. This experience left me feeling that Fred Meyer engages in discriminatory and racist practices.

I want to single out Byron the cashier and I’m mad at myself for not catching the woman’s name who was bagging with him. They were such a pleasure to interact with and FM is very lucky to have them. Thanks!

This store has a big variety of everything. They have a nice whole foods section with lots of organic options and fresh fruits and vegetables. I'll be coming back here.

For the area it is in this site is surprisingly well kept. The employees area very friendly even the security guards are kind. I recommend shopping at this location.

I went in a few days ago and was overwhelmed by how even though the store is huge, it still feels crammed and that your running into people or employees that are stressed and complaining every single time you turn the corner. I also dislike how security watches you purchase everything whether at self checkout or the checker and still wastes your time checking the receipt. This store stresses me TF out. Ugh
Not to mention how I payed 141$ for 3 bags of groceries :-(
