How things have changed. Security checkpoints & rampant theft, employees who despise the homeless, definitely not the Fred Meyer of my youth, but society isn't doing any better. Sad days.

The staff is lazy and slow. On transfers and returns. They only chat. Amy very slowly.

Well, I do not go to this Fred Meyer’s Regularly I had experienced and heard some very shady things going on. A friend of mine who could’ve been a great employee for them, had kept her waiting to find out if she was going to go to orientation after they told her she was hired, proceeded to fill up all of the positions that she was applying for….. Either HR is not doing their jobs or they’re incompetent with their jobs, But that was a shady move. A very disrespectful one. Please be careful if you were ever applying to this Fred Meyer. Make sure to be on their asses If they tell you that all you have to do is wait for orientation. Get in touch with HR every day. It is not harassment. It is making sure to keep them honest.

If it weren't for their coupons in the app, I would never shop here. But shop the coupon items & you can really save a lot by shopping here.

I have noticed a significant decrease in food quality within the past year. I’ve bought potatoes that were in a 5lb. bag that were completely rotten after 4 days of being in a dark cupboard. I’ve bought organic bread that formed white mold on it after 2 days. I took a picture of the organic russet potatoes, because the entire stock was green. Green potatoes are not to be eaten, as they can make you sick. I don’t know if Fred Meyers is telling produce clerks to leave green potatoes out when they cull the dept, but it seems as if they are. That, or the clerks no longer cull the dept. It might just be that our economy is that bad?
I took a picture of the potatoes, but there is not an option to display the picture I took.

Busy. Hard to find stuff since it's all moved to make room for Holliday stuff.

This place is incompetence at its finest. They advertise things on sale and then do not have them when you go to the store. When I asked for a rain check they had me wait in a line at customer service that did not move for 45 minutes! There was only one person working customer service who had a sour attitude. She was being abusive to the people in line when asked why she could not even help one person. The rest of the store was full of employees doing no work when they could be helping where needed. I asked one of the people working the cash register (with no one in his line) what was going on who laughed at me and said that it is always like that.
I do not know if this is a stupidity issue caused by the union or if stupidity runs downhill from the store manager but I do know that it makes Kroger as a whole look like a poorly run enterprise. Thanks Fred Meyer, that is over an hour wasted that I will never get back and I never even got my rain check.
0 stars....Do better.

Ugh, here we go again. While I come to this store cause it's close to where I live and the quality is usually above par. It's agonizing to come here for customer service needs. If I need to return something, money order, cash app. I expect to wait in a line for EVERRRR. So far I've stood in line for 30 minutes while there was 2 employees now there's one. Do they really take breaks less then 2 hours into a shift? Is there no one to help this long line. I see other employees walking around no one has the recognition skills to say "hmm that line is long, how can we help? It's any time of the month too. I even came early to try to avoid it. I've come later. Please fix this Safeway has a 3 person lane rule where they try to open more lanes or add employees. Is there nothing you can do???? Really???

There is an employee known as "Jacob," he was really rude checking me out, complaining that i had "too many tags in different spots," on the clothes I was buying. I apologized too him about it, even though it wasn't my fault. He said "it would have been easier if you just went to self check out," I was with my mother in law at this time, we had separate purchases divided by the sticks. He asked me if I wanted to put in a Fred Meyers number i said no. He then responded "or do you want to use your mommy's" again i said no.
