I am glad to have a Fred Meyers close-ish to my neighborhood, and I think their prices are better than Safeway. One of the employees told me that this location is the smallest of all of them in the area and is the reason they dont have a lot of things. Like fishing line or even anything remotely similar to fishing line. There isn't a garden center or clothing department either. The area is also not so great so they have had to get pretty serious about loss prevention. Which is understandable but it just makes you realize that you cant forget to lock your car.

Store manager Sarah did nothing to help as a older person stood shaking made to wait in line for over half an hour
Over all this store lacks basic accessibility and is intentionally hostile towards older or less mobile individuals

The store has a weird layout, it took me like 30 minutes to find 7 things. They also check your receipt at the door, which I've never experienced outside of Costco. But hey, it's a grocery store if you need it.

Security guard literally stole my backpack and I hadn't committed any infractions or crimes. My backpack cost me over $100. Dude literally just wanted to rob me and did bc he had weapons and protective gear and I didn't lol

Discriminatory staff.
I bought a plastic storage bin with a lid. I scanned the bin and put it to the side. The lid has no barcode. I put it with the container. This activated the anti theft camera. A staff member examined the list of items and video and began accusing me of not scanning on the items.
The video clearly shows the lid situation I described.
I scan the rest of my items while staff members hover and watch me leave. A very uninviting experience. I will avoid this store as much as I am able.

I've never had a good experience shopping at this location! The employees are very rude. Out of all the locations Fred Meyer has in Portland, this location is the worst
