So grateful for this store! Thank you for being safe and clean! Keep it up so I don't have to drive across town.

The army of guards wearing tactical gear creates a very hostile and unwelcoming environment and the prices are ridiculous. The constant discrimination and dehumanization against homeless people that I witness on a regular basis at this store is absolutely disgusting.

The reason why because you're pushing two shopping carts with all you need is one card but the rules of change in this world I guess but it's pretty sad that there's no customer service because the customers are always right I thought but we have people that higher up that are rich and sitting back watching us thinking that we're homeless but we're not we're just trying to get food and carry things the easy way but then again they want to make us the hard way and have two shopping carts it's absolutely ridiculous so yes I'm absolutely ridiculous mad I've been going there for over 5 years or so and I'm getting treatment like this and embarrassed and stuff and things people look at you weird kind of weird kind of wrong let's change the rules back where it was I'm not a homeless person I work for a living like everybody else does

Some of the worst selection, disgusting bathrooms (which are now closed to customers, given the high amount of homeless people on Burnside), and some of the staff members were rude today. The new trend where we're having to show the receipt to security guards instead of regular employees on the way out after the purchase feels intimidating. I could not even find AAA batteries today, and the majority of the types of batteries were out of stock. I used to go once or twice a month, but won't be going back anymore. If anyone from Kroger or Fred Meyer corporate is reading this, I strongly recommend that you just close this location.

So, I normally don't do reviews for things like grocerie stores, but I have to make an exception this time.I just left the Fred Meyers at 100 NW 20th PL. It's only the 2nd or 3rd time Ive been in this store. *I'd normally go to the Hollywood store* Anyway, the store on 20th place it my need home store. I love the way it is spread out, things seem much easier to find and the few staff members I came in contact with were EXTREAMLY helpful. The lady who checked me out, She only had the letter K on her name tag was AMAZING, smiling, super friendly, and made it a point to be sure I found everything I needed. If you are looking for a plaace to buy your grub, and not feel like you're just another number in the big picture, I'd highly reccommend this store.

For Downtown this place is a Gem! The Entire Team Rocks! The staff is always, courteous and helpful. Its a 360 in staff and proper mgmt to this location since 2015! Their Deli, Meat and Bakery, honest and diligently, within their service and handling! Thank you, all and you, all deserve a raise keep up the good work! Its Mgmt an example to the concept of “true leadership”!

I have been shopping at the store for years. This past year I've been using the pickup service. Your shopping bags have rips on all four corners of the paper bags. I'm getting tired of my groceries rolling down the stairs that I have to climb to get to my apartment because your bags disintegrate with the slightest pressure. My milk gallon burst and ruined many of my groceries. Who's going to replace those?

I have to come here regularly for groceries, and I hate it. Every time, I leave super stressed out from the experience. There are a few employees I like, but most seem to be purposely moving as s l o w l y a s t h e y p o s s i b I y c a n, inconvenienced, stoned, or both. The customer service desk is drastically understaffed. For a money order near rent time, be prepaired to stand in line half an hour. And if you go to self check out, and you need help, or to get your ID checked, take a friggin seat! Also, the bottle drop kiosk is more often than not, out of order. If you're able, Trader Joe's a couple blocks away is def worth paying a little more!

This has become easily the worst Fred Meyer in the Portland area. I think the workers there are trying their best to make-do with a clearly understaffed store, but that combined with the overbearing security presence now just makes it always a inconvenient and uncomfortable shopping experience.

Do you know what’s quicker and easier than waiting for the makeup to be unlocked from behind the security glass? Ordering it from Amazon on your phone while you wait. Screw this store, Kroger is terrible.

This place is a littered with service resistant addicts and mentally I’ll people that should be in institutions. I recently witnessed a person intoxicated and covered in open wounds touching themselves and then touching the food. Repeatedly… I like my groceries free of hep c thanks… absolutely health code violation.

Today I came over to this store with intent on refilling my water bottle cause it was running empty but I was ratted out by a couple of store employees and management who thought that my intent was to shoplift but that is a false claim and an act of disrespect towards me being a longtime paying customer for over 20 years plus I once watched over and protected their parking lot years ago a parking lot security guard which btw I will not do that again because I will never return to or pay my hard earned money to this store again so I hope that the store owner and Kroger corporate team will understand that.

Most experiences have been great. Today the checkout line was longer than usual and they had the self checkout machines and 1 checker line open. Trader Joe’s checkout line is still the best because there are actual people with a fun vibe. Going to start shopping elsewhere as Fred Meyer is going downhill in their customer service department and is willing to spend millions on electronic methods to try and prevent theft but let’s learn something from Jane Jacobs. It’s people and eyes on the streets that will be the ultimate game changer, NOT CCTV. Not a security guard at the door. More helpful employees!

Horrible, overpriced and extremely rude and offending cashiers and the lady monitoring the self service checkout tills. The bathrooms are totally disgusting and stink like pure sewage, unflushed with plenty of gross gunk. As someone traveling from out of the country I don't carry my passport on me- which is too dangerous losing it only photocopies with my ID and bank cards which match my exact name for all documents and was refused service for booze as an adult and my friend was told to go away too. The spirits shop next door is way better. Rather shop at trader joes too!

They do NOT sell apparel here like most Fred Meyers, despite that their website says they do and even claims to have specific items in stock.I confirmed this with several employees, two of which I had to interrupt after standing there for a minute while they continued their personal conversation. And lastly all of their self checkouts were closed, which would be fine if they had enough cashiers. But alas; they only had two so I had to wait behind people buying full carts of groceries just so I could buy my one single item.
