I had called the clinic to make sure I was labeling the stool samples with the right colored ribbon that they had put on my puppies from their last vet check and spoke to Kendra. She answered the phone and asked me if I could hold. It wasn't a long hold and when she came on the line, I told her that two of the ribbons had came off by the time we got home and needed to find out who it belonged to. I remember the doctor telling me that two of the puppies weighed about a little over 2 lbs each. She told me that the green one belonged to a male about 3+ lbs and the brown one also was for the 3+ lbs male puppy. So I confirmed that I thought that puppy had the green one. That's when Kendra gave me an attitude and said" You were asking for the brown one and not the green one." I said I remember the doctor telling me one of the male puppy was about 2 lbs and she said there's two 3 pounder puppies and they're both male. But her voice still sounded irritated so I told her "I'm sorry but it sounds like you are giving me an attitude right now and it is not helping." That is when the tone of her voice changed. It doesn't matter that we don't see how you look like talking to customers over the phone but we can tell by your voice. This isn't the first time I was treated rudely by these techs and I have been taking two of my dogs here for almost 2 years. I have read other reviews about the unprofessionalism of these techs in this clinic so I think the management needs to look into it. If they are this rude to people I could only imagine how they talk to our furbabies when their inside with them.

The office staff are the rudest, most incompetent people I have ever met or had to speak to in my life!!! Absolutely no costumer services skills whatsoever. Not fit to be in society let alone working with the public!!! Do not go here!

We've been bringing our cats to halsey east since last May. the staff and doctors there are always so helpful and understanding. Even when we had to say goodbye to our sweet baby prematurely Dr. Vockert and Heather were there for us every step of the way. Thank you for everything that you do. ❤️

We have brought our dog here for the last 3 years. The vet that he saw was very nice. Most of the office and vet techs are incredibly rude and passive aggressive. Even when you are on hold the commentary is them explaining that some people have been rude while others haven't. What is that...? If you have that many people that are upset with you you might want to look inward. The other issues are incompetence and communication. When I've called they ask questions like, does this need to be scheduled with a tech or a doctor? You tell me. There has not been one time, that I can think of, when I haven't been interrupted in the first two sentences of explaining what the issue is with my dogs. We haven't had to deal with them other than check ups and vaccinations so we have tolerated the poor behavior. This last September we got a puppy and she has been our problem child, so we have been there more than usual. That being said, my patience and understanding has reached its max. She (puppy) recently broke her toe and we have dealt with the normal rude behavior when making appointments etc. Because this was an emergency we saw a different doctor (Dr. Vidos). Puppy developed a few pressure sores from the splint on her leg. When I brought her in to have it looked at I carried her from the car to the front door. The snarky tech says she's NOT going to carry her. I started to say that she didn't need to be carried, but I was cut off again by the tech saying she wasn't going to carry her. This was just the beginning. Another tech came out to the car (curbside service only) and cut me off at every sentence and practice her eye rolls. Then the doctor came out so I could show her the sores. We got nowhere with the conversation because her ego took over. She was so annoyed that I wanted to show her the sores. She said they weren't opened and that they (their staff) do this all the time. She mentioned donut bandages that they could put over the sore. I told her that they were open sores and that I had washed them with a solution they (vet) had given me and aired them out all morning so they looked better, but they were opened. They wrapped it and covered the sores. I left the situation alone and trusted that they knew what they were doing. Later that night I woke up to my puppy crying and trying to pull at the wrap/splint with her back legs. I took off the top portion of the bandage where the sores are to find them opened, oozing, red and inflamed just like I said they were when I was at the vet. I did not see any donut bandage or any other type of protection around the sores other than the normal wrap. Needless to say, we will not be taking our dogs or any other animals to this establishment moving forward.

I started going to Halsey East when VCA became too overcrowded during the pandemic, and making this switch has been one of the best decisions. They are thoughtful, caring, professional, and really let you know that your pet is their #1 priority. I needed to have my cat seen for an acute issue, and there wasn't an immediate opening available, but was told they would call me as soon as one did. The very next morning, I received a call that they had a cancellation and would I want to take that spot. That was wonderful. In addition, my pet had to be seen for an emergency at Dove Lewis (it was after hours) and this vet called me the very next day (Dove Lewis had sent them the chart notes) just to check in to see how my cat was doing, and to let me know that they were there if she should get worse, or if we needed anything. That follow-up call meant the world to me, as a "pet-parent" because you're still coming down from the stress of taking your pet to the ER, and to just know that the notes were transferred over, that they received them and, most importantly, that they care enough to reach out and check-in. This place is a wonderful, small, family-owned clinic where you know you are receiving great care.

Daycare people helpful and amazing! Veterinarian caring and amazing! But I am so fed up with the handful of receptionist at this place! Every time either I or my partner calls they are very unprofessional and impolite. No customer service at all. You should be doing what's best for the pet and be caring and concerned. They do not even say good bye on the phone they just slam the phone in my ear! I wish I could talk to the veterinarian personally and tell him what's going on. Very disappointing, makes me want to search for a new vet office. People don't understand how important the front office staff are, it's critical to have good people skills and if you're not up for that then the job is not for you. You are essentially the first person of contact to clients. If you don't love your job or are not passionate about it please find something else!!!

Would NOT recommend! My family has been going here for years & has spent thousands of dollars here, I was running 5 minutes late and they cancelled my appointment for my dog that is in horrible pain with a UTI. All they literally needed to do was test for UTI. They said that another patient showed up before and they took it in for my appointment time and the doctor was "busy" now??? How does that make sense? Keep in mind that they are usually running extremely late (at least 15 minutes after said appointment to even take your pet back) And the front desk is extremely snarky & rude, even called me "sweetheart" in a condescending way. This place has really gone down hill in the last few years with their rudeness & unprofessionalism. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND

Your customers waiting in your parking lot should be able to use your restroom. Not "the public" but people that are paying for your services should be afforded the dignity of using your restroom. And yes, you should disinfect it or do whatever you need to do to keep people safe IN ADDITION to allowing your customers to borrow your restroom.

Dr. Olson at Halsey East Animal Clinic recently ingeniously saved my 2 1/2 year old Labrador from surgery to remove a Corncob (and latex glove) discovered in his stomach upon performing an abdominal ultrasound. Every step of the way, doctors and staff at this clinic have been supportive, caring, and professional. From puppy kindergarten to boarding, from routine care to urgent health problems, I have experienced nothing but the best care for my pup. Thank You Halsey East Animal Clinic.

I wish I was leaving a 5 star review except the receptionist had the worst costumer care I have experienced. We arrived at 2:50 for our appointment which began at 3. Then we proceeded to be kept on hold until 10 minutes after our appointment time. Which of course we know times are stuff so that was no problem, until the receptionist finally picked up the phone. She told us the vet was behind because we should have been there 20 minutes ago. Which is not true. When we told her what happened she interrupted us and said the same thing again. Then we found out the receptionist had written all of our dogs information down wrong. We brought in a 10 year old dog with a bump on her tail and black dots on her skin. She wrote a 1 year old dog with a growth on its neck, issue with her mouth and itchy skin. Clearly shouldn't be working here. I hope this gets reviewed.

My family has been going to Halsey East for almost 30 years (back before they moved from the little red building and it was bulldozed!), and there's a great reason for that. All the personnel that have worked there are so passionate about caring for you and your pet; whether it's routine checkups, emergent situations, or putting a beloved elderly furbaby to sleep. Recently my dog Indy had what turned out to be a partial blockage from a foreign object she ingested (she's a known garbage hound and shredder/eater of toys). Halsey East was with me every step of the way, from before figuring out that it was a blockage to getting me in for late night X-rays when they were about to close, to referring me to Dove Lewis for emergency surgery and handling the transfer of her records while I was bawling. Thank you Halsey East, I'll always recommend you guys for your level of care. Ps: They are strict at following covid guidelines and pet parents have to stay outside, but they let me walk my very nervous girl to the front door every time!

This vet clinic has the most ridiculously disorganized office staff of any vet I have ever visited. Actually of any business Period. Literally every time I call there are conflicting opinions, important info missing on my pets chart, etc. twice they forgot to refill a prescription. if you voice any concern with the office staff expect rude and dismissive treatment. It’s a shame because the vets are nice. I’ve read lots of reviews that echo mine regarding the office staff and
