Been here sitting for 30min waiting on help to pick up my booked vehicle just to find out they don’t have any vehicles ready or cleaned yet. Bad customer service, especially having only one attendant for most of my wait. Not the way to treat anyone, especially Gold members. Do Better! ??♂️Update, car was never ready after 45min wait. Had to pay for another Lyft so I wasn’t any later to my meetings today. Worst experience with Hertz I’ve ever had over my 20yrs of rental history!! Never again!! Avoid this location at all cost!!

I received a voicemail the morning of my reservation saying there were no cars available. I understand how this can happen from time to time but they didn’t offer me a single option for a different car, pickup location, or pickup time. Employee brushed me off when I called back to ask about it.After being told there were no cars available, I still received a no-show fee on my credit card.

Car smelled like smoke but staff were able to help out and comped some of the price. On another occasion staff just closed up shop 40 minutes early?

Went to drop off my vehicle and drove to nearly the top of the parking where you drop the vehicle off. It was 32 degrees and ice raining. I had my 10 month old son, two bags of luggage and a car seat. Went to each level and none of the elevators worked. 6 floors I slowly made it down trying to shield my baby from the cold. Finally find the entrance and I let them know the building was ridiculous and the guy answered saying if I had picked up the car there I would know I could drop off in front.I called back there an hour later to make sure they knew which vehicle I dropped off and still no apologies for what I went through but honestly sounded annoyed I called. If someone had a disability this would be absolutely insane. The customer service at the front was horrendous.I picked the car up from Seattle airport and had a great experience and easy to get the car.This location needs to have the building repaired with better signage and if possible find people that have customer service experience or just aiming for human decency.

Cancelled our reservation with zero prior warning. Didn't make any effort to find us another car from the airport or anything. Just left us stranded.Edit: I appreciate that Hertz is going to "talk to management" but there's a review from a week or two before mine where the exact same thing happened. I don't think they care. How does talking to management compensate us for our experience?We're Hertz Gold members but switched to Enterprise for this trip and don't see switching back.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERELOL, Human waste strewn all thru the disgusting parking garage stairwell that is necessary to navigate to pick up or drop off. Garage is not at address listedStaff obstinant and unhelpfulThey misrepresented a midsize vechile as a fullsizeTheir "helpline" is a joke. A company without integrity, a franchise without hope. Seriously, rent from anyone else, anywhere else and spare yourself the agony of dealing with Hertz

My 5 star review is for Tim at the Portland Airport location. He made a really terrible experience before I even got our car, 100x better. He clearly likes helping others and it showed. Agents on the phone do not give accurate info! Thanks again to Tim!! Our trip to the Oregon Coast was awesome.

I rented a car at the hertz downtown pine street office. It was a monday in the morning and it was already busy. My situation was complex and Byron and Irving were wonderful people- not just in providing service but their interactions. its clear the management is hiring patient, thoughtful people. Kudos to Irving for problem solving. Its humans not machines that can run this world best and its not always easy in these times.

Worst service ever!We booked a reservation on Sept 19th 2023 for Sept 29th. When we arrived to pickup the car at 330 sw pine st Portland Oregon, we were told they were out of cars. They did not care at all. They did not say they were sorry and offered no help at all. They just did not care about there customers. We were not the only people affected by this. We will never use Hertz rent a car ever. Thank God for Enterprise rent a car. Oh yeah Hertz customer service representative said it was not on them , not their fault. Hence the worst service ever!!!!!!!!! Would not recommend Hertz car rentals to anyone.

You would think that after years and years of operating out of the PDX airport, Hertz would figure it out. Alas it has not. I specifically requested a Tesla Model 3 LR AWD. Instead I was provided with a SR RWD. When I attempted to contact Hertz to correct the issue, either the phone line was down, the office was closed (despite calling during posted business hours), or the line was busy. There was a massive line when checking in, however there was only one associate available. When I walked past the desk again after dropping off the car, I encountered the same situation again. Overcrowded, the vehicle I selected was unavailable, and the return process was needlessly confusing and complicated.

I had reserved and paid for a regular car, but when I got there, they said I HAD to take an electric car. I was driving from Portland to Vancouver and back over 4 days. It was a holiday weekend, so I was worried I wouldn't be able to find something elsewhere at the last minute. The time I wasted recharging the car caused me to cut a lot from my vacation. It's totally unprofessional to false advertise like this. I will never be renting from this location again, and will need to think hard before renting Hertz again.

I don't get why they got such a low review they did a exceptional job on making everything smooth and fast. My car wasn't ready and they upgraded me to a nicer vehicle with really no up charge. The only bad part is the elevator it's really gross but it not their responsibility it's the hotels job to take care of it.

The car was dirty and had stains on the inside where the trunk is. Service engine maintenance popped up mid way into our trip. Windshield washer fluid was out which we had to replace. There was a dead bug in the car. The floor was not vacuumed. The representative did not come up with us to check the quality of the car. And there were multiple scratches on the car. On our way back, the window sealer popped out of the windshield as well and was flapping in the wind. My parents will not be using Hertz going forth.
