Dr. Holmgren has been our family pet doctor for many years (over 25+ years). He is very knowledgeable in all areas of our dog and cat's needs. I highly recommend him.

In rebuttle of the previous review by Timothy, Dr Holmgren is not at all a monster. Dr Holmgren is a kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, gentle, and caring vet who goes out of his way to help animals and understands and respects the love those who own pets have for their pets. For the last year I have been struggling with the reality that my dog has little time left. He has gone above and beyond to make my dog pain free without him being "drugged" up. Because of Dr Holmgren I have been given almost an entire year more with my best friend. Not only did he extend my time with my dog, but he coached me through the difficult process of having to make that dreadful decision. Today he will be helping me to free my friend of pain and me to say good-bye. I am forever grateful for Dr Holmgren's care and compassion for my best friend and me. He is not a monster, he is an angel.

Lovely, old-school, country-style vet care. No computers in the office, no five-week wait for an appointment. Dr. Holmgren is knowledgable and kind. He let me know what he was doing as he was doing it, and was careful and gentle with my sweet dog.

Dr Holmgren is great. Fantastic with our new dog, especially since she is a rescue mix-breed. Very calm and responsive with her. So thankful for his experience.

Fifth star restored! Dr. Holmgren went out of his way to put some insulin in the storage box outside the door this morning, and I was able to pick it up before heading in to work, and administer it to my little guy! The fact that Dr. Holmgren went in early to provide it, and allowed me to pay later, further shows that he is caring, professional and willing to go the extra mile for his patients!

I have taken my dogs to Dr. Holmgren since 1990 - he has taken excellent and very knowledgable care of all 6 in total. Any procedures from spaying to old age problems have been always left me feeling that he has had my dogs's best interest in mind and has explained the reasons for all he feels needs to be done. My dogs have been large breeds and the first three that he treated from puppies- all lived to 15 years of age staying healthy and happy. My 2 senior rescues, were very large breeds and adopted at 12 and 14 years of age. He took special care in the treating of these seniors and one lived to 15 and the other till 16. He is a very caring doctor and I have complete faith in him taking care of my new large breed dog, 4 years old , in the best ways to give him a wonderful life too. Thank you so very much for becoming the best veterinarian possible and taking such wonderful care of my pups.

Dr Ray Holmgren Veterinary Clinic Is the only place ill Take my pet. Good prices. Great location. Just off I 205. Parkside area. Always fast to figure out the problem. I highly recommend him.

I had a horrible experience after having my cat spade. She supposedly got fluid in her lungs during surgery. Two later she died.
