My husband and I had an appointment to file out taxes for the first time w/ H&R Block last month. The experience was very unprofessional, and the person we met with had the same or even less knowledge of taxes than my husband and I had. We decided to file ourselves, and since then I've been getting multiple phone calls and emails every week from H&R block asking me to schedule additional appointments. They even scheduled me an upcoming appointment proactively, without me requesting one. Would not recommend their services to anyone.

Tax preparer was great. Thanks Bob, nice work in 2021. As for 2022 it was a disaster. So many mistakes. I'm having to go back and amend a bunch of things that they missed.

We had an appointment and waited for 40 minutes but the rep never showed up. There wasn’t an office manager or receptionist to help. One of the other tax reps was nice and said she might be able to help but was busy with her appointment. No one followed up or even explained. The office was also very dirty. Stains on the wall, the bathroom messy, and trash on the floor and chairs. It seemed pretty rundown overall. I wouldn’t recommend this location.

Love H&R Block! My taxes always feel so confusing but they make it so easy. We upload our (what feels like) 80 documents and they have it sorted and filed within hours!! Quick and easy. They are also informative - I learn something new about taxes every time I speak with them.

The Woodstock office completely dropped the ball on our tax return. Met in person with them in March, gave them my documents, all seemed good. Then didn't hear anything for weeks. Very hard to get in touch with anybody there -- when I finally was able to connect, the accountant I had been working with said she couldn't help me; passed me off to another accountant who I never heard from. Surprising and disappointing. Awful customer service experience. I will be filing on my own using TurboTax. Would not recommend H&R Block, they left me high and dry.

Do not use this branch! They are incompetent, unprofessional, and unreliable! They don't answer phones or return calls! I live close to this branch, so I used it last year for my Mom's Estate taxes. I dropped off a month in advance before the deadline. I was told I will get a call when they were finished. When it got close to the deadline, I started calling and left messages, to no avail. I then stopped by there one day on my way to work, and there was a sign on the door stating the office was closed for the season. I didn't know if the taxes were done or not. I didn't have paperwork, etc. I had to call several different branches to try and find someone who could let me know what was going on. I finally spoke with a supervisor. The taxes were NEVER done!!! I ended up having to go to another office to get them completed. Fast forward to this year. I dropped off paperwork the 1st week in April. The girl scanned the information in their system, stating someone would complete and get back to me. I explained what I went through last year and told her I didn't want a repeat! Guess what, I received a call last week from a H&R Block person in The Dalles because he had a couple of questions. The last I spoke with him was the day before they were due and he was finishing them. I have been calling him and the office where I dropped them off, nobody answers the phone or returns messages. I have been by there twice, and nobody is there, but no sign up. I finally get an email from the guy this morning stating he tried to file an extension but it didn't work, so he will send back to the branch. They are closed for the year! I then call another branch to speak with a supervisor or manager. The lady was rude and said she would have someone call me. I then went through my emails from last year and called someone else. She looked up information and the documents were never uploaded or done. She is a Manager at another office and will have me bring to her tomorrow and will make sure they are completed asap!I have been dealing with H&R Block for over 30 years, and they are so bad now. The service is bad and they don't follow through. I will file a complaint with the BBB this time.

I am in the process of moving from PA to Oregon. I was delighted to see that Michelle had access to my 2021 return from PA which is a compliment to the H&R Block company. Michelle was super confident in preparing my return. She was also good at sharing information about what to do to prepare me for next years return,
