The receptionist was kind and friendly and welcoming, Susan, our tax advisor, was also kind, but man… it was infuriating. She talked in circles and didn’t explain anything for us, couldn’t break down how to set up our taxes more effectively to prevent owing next year- and at one point, while we pulled up the info on our MacBook laptop, she said she doesn’t know how to use laptops… my wife was on paid leave for our son being born, and she asked “what is paid leave?”
While she is probably a very nice person, Susan was not, in the least, helpful to our situation…

H&R Block is the BIGGEST waste of money. They are not upfront about the cost, they do not assist at all after your taxes are filed from the payment perspective. Their staff at this particular location is extremely aloof and do not have their shit together at all whatsoever. Terrible experience and would absolutely not recommend. Do not waste your money. They wont tell you how much it'll be and if they do they'll be off by about 100 bucks.Then tell you they werent the ones who told you that even though they for sure were. They don't help at all in the process after they get done with your taxes. Do not go here.

Junko was incredibly kind and honest throughout our interaction. She not only provided me with valuable tools I could use on my own, but also helped me make the most of my money. I felt like she genuinely wanted to help me rather than just take my money.

Ive been trying to get my taxes filed for a couple months now. The tax preparer led me on, and kept saying they would call me and they would work on it. That never happened. One star.

H&R Block has been a great deal of help with my ever increasing complicated taxes. The staff has always shown a great deal of professionalism. I prefer working with one person through the current tax season. However, when I needed to get assistance from someone else, there knowledge made me confident.

Our tax preparer finished our taxes in a timely manner and was courteous in her communications. The reason for 4 stars is the cost was so much more than preparing them myself which is what I had always done in the past. I had to have help because our taxes have become more complicated than they had been previously.

Junko was great. H&R Block overall could work on their app and scheduling system. I've had issues two years in a row regarding this.

Joan Morton is the best tax preparer that I have ever worked with at H&R Block. She is detail-oriented as well as kind. I highly recommend Joan Morton to anyone who may feel overwhelmed by tax season. She makes the process easy and sets you up for success with future returns.
