Stay away from this bank!!! They will screw you over like they screwed us over. Our account was closed for no reason at all. This was after confirming multiple times the account was properly setup and setting up direct deposit and transferring into the account. Do not trust this bank. They will steal your money and close your accounts. I have never in my life seen a bank as unprofessional and ill intentioned as Key Bank. The worst!!!!!

Tried using the drive up atm on the weekend but there's a homeless guy that hangs around a bit too closely and then tries to ask for money after you pull money out. Just be warned. It's not a good place to ask for money. I was nervous as heck.

Terrible customer service. This bank disappoints over and over. You’re best bet is to avoid them.

My husband and I had excellent, friendly & very helpful service with Udy at the Hawthorne branch this month! And we had challenging time consuming issues. We appreciate having all great experiences with every staff member there, like we stepped back in time to a small town!

That guy Stephen is like a character from Portlandia. Basically fan-boyed about meeting Chuck Palanick and also about of New Agey wannabe esoteric philosophy. Did he even in that 30 minutes help me with what I came in for? Nope! But the Woodstock branch did in 3 minutes! Dude, your heart's in the right place but get a clue! Also the branch manager was incompetent to. I will only be dealing with Woodstock or Gateway going forward. Never had an issue.

Key bank goes out of its way to keep merchant funds as long as it can and then charge multiple overdraft fees. Typically I have a two night wait from settlement to deposit. UNLESS, of course, I have things coming out. Then it holds three nights and slaps me with not one, not two, but THREE overdraft fees. This has happened far too often. The third overdraft fee always comes out a few days after the others. Then they give some convoluted excuse as to why.

I wouldn't recommend banking here. My wife and I were looking to switch banks. As a trial run before switching, I signed up for the "Get $400 when you open a qualifying checking account..." offer. Followed all instructions, set up direct deposit, etc. Didn't receive my $400 and bank manager says nothing he can do because it's a "marketing thing". And won't reverse monthly statement fee even though I signed up for e-statement. This banks seems to be all about nickle-and-diming their customers. Doesn't want my business, obviously.

I seldom give negative reviews, but an experience I had at this branch honestly left me shocked. I've had a business bank account with key for nearly 5 years. I had a great relationship with the previous bank manager. About a year ago I started a new business that requires wire transfers often. After shopping around I found a bank willing to offer 3 free wires a month. I went back to Key and the branch manager matched the deal. 6 months of no wires fees. Then a new branch manager. Started giving my business partner problems but still gave the free wires, until he said no more. I went to speak with him, and he essentially told me (after basically saying I could be lying, despite never paying wire fees on many wires), that he didn't make the deal and it didn't benefit him personally so he felt no obligation to keep the word of the previous branch manager. Basically, you'll never know if what they tell you is true. You can't trust their word, and the current branch manager has no problem insinuating that you're a liar and that he doesn't honor deals his bank makes if it doesn't suit him. Beware of this dishonest bank and most certainly it's branch manager.
