Love this little shop. Extensive thai and other southeast Asian groceries and even some Korean stuff. Their real draw is the hot food counter. Some dishes that you never see. For example, tapioca dumplings with pork and peanut. Not since sauce box closed have I had these. Parking is a challenge, but just hang a turn and park on the street side by the other door. Best part is, they discount their food around 5-ish, so you can get some legit pad thai, sausages, salad rolls or anything else for like 50% off. Nice.

These guys definitely deserve a couple of stars for their pad see ew available in the back where they serve hot food. I will return again and again for it! I wasn't impressed by the pad thai. It was all noodles and nothing else which is not a textural expectation when I order this dish. If you're looking for Asian products from the frozen or shelf level, this is probably a great candidate. I was looking for frozen coconut milk, which they sadly do not carry, but they do carry ground cassava, shredded coconut and coconut meat in the the freeze if you happen to be looking for that. I am on a quest to make the best haupia, but Lily will not be in my party apparently. The parking lot is tiny and they have a spillover just before you reach the proprietary one. It's on a one way street to boot so I imagine it can be hectic to reach them on a busy day. Staff are pretty nice and they do accept credit cards (not EBT). It's out of my way as I live in Vancouver and work near PDX but I'd be back for noodles sporadically.

Parking there is a pain. Customer service depends on your skin color. Their deli food is average. Every time I go there to pick something up for my mom or grandparents, I would get snarky comments in Laos by the gentleman who works there(presuming the owner). Not knowing I am Laotian. He would say things like "oh this Viet guy sure likes buying here why not buy at your own store or this Viet guy again?" But to other customers he's very nice to. Just plain rude comments but I did called him out on. He was sure red after he knew I was Laotian and understood him. He didn't apologize, just laugh it off. So I guess I'll go somewhere else.

One of my favorite markets on the eastside! The selection isn't as large as the box stores (HMart), but lots of essentials with great prices. I have yet to try the grab-and-go items, but it always looks so tasty and typically very busy - so it must be good!

ATTENTION!!: Remember to check your receipt before you go !!!!This is one of the stores I really like and usually stop by. But today they give me a bad experience the highest cost in my receipt is $13.95( chicken feet) and I didn’t buy anything over $3. The total number of items I bought is 29 but she charged me 5 more items($1.95 each) $9.75. Maybe she forgot to void that item but I lost $10 for nothing. Remember to check your receipt before you go !!!!

Consider the Lily of the Market! Now here is an Asian Market with charm packed in like those sardines packed into a little tin can, with spices! It’s a wonder. It’s colorful and organized, plentiful and interesting, diverse and inclusive. Not so crowded that you can’t get around, but absolutely bursting with a huge variety of all things Asian. All the sauces, all the spices, all the condiments, the implements. It’s amazing how much they have managed to cram into such a small space without creating havoc. The place straddles Halsey and Weidler like a land bridge for shoppers with checkout points on each side and you can roam between the two streets like wild grazing wildebeests discovering new noodles and curry pastes. A gentleman came out of the back and asked if he could help me find anything… I’m sorry, when was the last time THAT happened at an Asian market? Usually you are left to sink or swim on your own as you forage the unknown aisles. And then there is the the robust Deli section on the Weidler side! Lunches to go, made hot, while you wait. Premade grab and go, tons of interesting deserts, great looking meats! Really, this was one of the most interesting, welcoming Asian markets I’ve ever visited! And I’ve visited a lot, not just here.Lily Market is a fusion market. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Filipino and probably a lot more and the clientele reflected that, it was a comfortable mix of people, a nice warm flow of all ages and cultures happily finding exactly what they were looking for. Everybody seemed to be in a great mood and the store seemed to be right in the middle of that. A fulcrum right there between the two streets, a balancing act of cultures and food and people. My new favorite market.

I love this market, I discovered it over 20 years ago when i lived in the neighborhood. I would frequent this place for fresh Asian produce, frozen fish & squid, and their deli has really good salad rolls (with peanut sauce) and curried bamboo shoots (sounds weird but it's amazing). The employees are always helpful and friendly, and the store has a great variety for being a smaller establishment. I admit I enjoy the larger chain stores like H-Mart, Fubonn & Uwajimaya, but the mom and pop stores will always be a priority for me, you can't beat em!

Some of the best Pad Thai I’ve had and the sausages are excellent. Good prices and always a good experience shopping there.
