Oh my gosh!! That bread that the open sandwiches are on...I can't forget about it. We brought home a loaf all the way to South Waterfront and both of us were commenting on how delish all week. The perfect condiments were on the sandwich. I'm a foodie and Lisa, the owner, knows her stuff. We will be back this week for more. Sweet environment and it felt like we were in a special place in Europe. One doesn't need big food here, this is the food that will linger on your taste buds...simple, rustic and perfect.

Sitting outside in the sun and eating Lovejoy breakfast sandwiches with coffees is about as good as it gets! Really tasty food and gracious and enthusiastic service so don’t miss this place.

Coffee is good, pastries are better. Had an incredible sticky orange cardamom pastry here, maybe the best I've ever had. Huge amounts of outside seating, including under a tent for shade in the afternoon. Can't recommend enough! I live in the Bay Area, but when visiting NE Portland this is my go-to spot for breakfast pastries and associated treats.

All around solid bakery. The Ham and Swiss (topped with some kind of béchamel-like sauce) was delicious albeit on the small side.Their cold brew was excellent. Surprisingly, the beans are not from Extracto next door.I didn't connect with the ginger biscuit. However, the fresh made on the premises multi-grain bread was oh so good. I use it to construct a mean grilled cheese sandwich (be sure to spread with mayonnaise on the grill side) at home.Comfortable ambiance with good variety of seating. Parking is relatively easy and counter person was nice.

Food was so good and this place is so cute. Def a hidden gem in the neighborhood. I prefer this place for a casual breakfast over many other of the amazing options in the area. And that is saying something. The brunch salad and veg open faced sandwich, pictured, served after 11:30am was amazeballs. So good! Service was also super good. Sweet people work here. Get the ginger scone. Worth it! P.s. no espresso but great cold brew. Extracto is right around the corner if you must have it.

Beautiful little bakery located int the Alberta Arts District. The bakery was clean, with indoor and outdoor seating, and lots of windows and sunlight. The staff was very friendly and prompt. They only offer drip coffee, but it was good...unfortunately the almond croissant was not. It was flat, dense, dry, and the filling was not spread evenly throughout the pastry instead it was just in a ball in the middle. There were other pastries to choose from and also loafs of bread, so I will definitely give this place another try!

Ginger biscuits! That's all it took to get me to drive clear across the city and over the river to visit Flour Market. Yes, I'm that kind of foodie. When I read a review or someone tells me about something they had that sounds exceptional, distance does not stand in the way!Fortunately for me, there as one remaining when I arrived at 11am. Clearly, other people have heard about the ginger biscuit and they get there much earlier. Immediately I told them to put it aside for me while I checked out the other offerings. Everything looked fantastic. The basket of freshly made banquettes commanded my attention. As did the ham & cheese croissants. There were several varieties of large cookies, brownies, muffins, scones, biscotti and pastries, including gluten-free and vegan options. All sorts of fresh baked breads, the kind that has a nice crust and you know it's has the perfect chew inside. Seeded loaves, Kalamata olive ciabatta, brioche, French baguettes, croutons and rolls. Plus a variety of sandwich loaves - sourdough, dark rye, and my fave, country walnut. Full barista bar with all the regular coffee and tea drinks. The intent was to save the ginger biscuit for breakfast the next day, but the restaurant I had planned on going to for lunch didn't opened until dinner hours, so I took a nibble in the car. The ginger added a slight bit of sweetness and a kick to the buttery biscuit. To me, it's perfection, no need to add jam or butter - but you do you. I like to eat the top first, it's crisp and has the perfect texture. I ate the entire biscuit on my ride home, regretting it only because it would have been wonderful with a cup of tea. Next time I will definitely get two! They sell bags of their homemade granola as well. Lots of seeds, nuts, grains and dried fruit amongst the variations. Even a crystallized ginger granola that I forgot to grab so I will definitely have to go back! Darn!Inside is cozy, lots of wood, brick and there are a variety of seating arrangements. Even a large table for groups or individuals working on their laptops. Outside the street has been converted into seating areas, a communal space for the several restaurants on this little corner of NE Killingsworth.

My family loves Flour Market! Wonderful service, yummy treats, and a great hangout spot for the whole family (including our pup) not far from home. We love swinging by for a breakfast pastry and grabbing bread for the freezer. Thanks for being part of the Concordia Neighborhood!

Yum! Favorite new place in the neighborhood to buy bread! Love the walnut levain. Great croissants/pastries too. Got the orange cardamom sticky bun. To my pleasant surprise, it wasn't overly sweet, just a subtle sweetness with ground cardamom and bits of caramelized orange peel. It was also uniquely crunchy/flaky on the outside! The Kouign Amann was AMAZING! Layers of deliciousness! It was so satisfying to "peel" and eat this!
