  Honestly, I received the best haircut I've ever had from this place. I have super curly hair and the stylist knew exactly what to do and how to give me the haircut I wanted. That's so entirely rare. Unfortunately, the stylist wasn't taking new clients. I won the haircut via a raffle and was truly disappointed that I couldn't continue with her. It's been almost 10yrs since that haircut and I still think about it all the time. No one else in Portland knows what they're doing when it comes to natural curls and I've tried everyone in town, even the curly hair places. No one has ever done it better than this salon. Also, the vibe and energy of this salon is stellar. The parking was a pain but worth it.

  I have been going to Allison for 8 years since I was 16 years old! My mom has also exclusively gone to Allison for the past 8 years. She is the only hair stylist we trust with our hair! I have dyed my hair every color under the sun and she always makes it look natural and beautiful! She has also cut my hair and styled it for school dances like prom. She also has incredible hair cutting and styling skills. Additionally, Allison has provided me with corrective color when I tried to use box dye. Before going to Allison I always felt rushed by stylists who crammed their clients together or who didn't listen to what I wanted to do with my hair. Allison really cares about her clients and develops amazing relationships with the people she works with. She also is a joy to to have a conversation with while you are in the chair. I cannot recommend a hair stylist in the Portland area more. If you are in need of a new stylist visit Allison!!
