My husband and I went to Macy's in Clackamas, Oregon on a Sunday 2/11/24 as my husband was given a Macy's gift card for Xmas. We never shop at malls so we thought it would be nice to see what would be on offer in the men's department. We walked through the cosmetic/perfume area which was fully staffed and took the escalator down to the men's and walked the whole floor. We were surprised to see it mostly empty with only a few customers and no staff. We looked for someone to help us find prices on shoes (there were no prices on any of the items) and could find no one. My husband left the shoe area and had to walk the whole floor before he finally found one male staffer who was helping a customer at a cash register and asked the young man if he could find someone to help and he said he'd get someone. A few minutes later my husband came back to the shoe department where I was sitting and after waiting ten minutes there was still no one. We decided to leave and headed to the cash register where the staffer was still waiting on the same customer. My husband said to the staffer that no one ever showed up and he was really disappointed in the service and that they were losing a customer. All the staffer could say was 'sorry.' As we made our way up the escalator and through the perfume department I decided to ask a perfume staffer who could I complain to? I told her there was no one downstairs in any of the menswear areas and did she know why there was no staff. She said she didn't know but gave me the store's phone number so I could complain to the manager. I told her I was amazed that there were so many staffers in the perfume department but then remembered Valentines Day was coming up. Made sense. A few days later I called the home office number (not the store number given) and complained to the customer service person who apologized, would send the info to the higher ups and asked for my telephone number for follow ups. It's Friday and so far I've not heard a thing. I looked online for reviews and complaints about Macy's and the info online said that over 3,000 staff were due to be let go and several stores would be closing down. Seems the reason why these stores are suffering from so few staff. Looks like shopping malls as well as customer service may soon becoming a thing of the past.

The store manager Laurel is a very rude and condescending. An associate called her for approval on a coupon they said they could honor. But when she arrived she basically yelled at the associate for saying they could honor it and then made me feel like a criminal for asking. I will not be shopping there again. This store does not feel inclusive in the least.

Worst mangers ever can't even do their jobs. You can call the store over and over again and they will just not pick up their phones, and they never return any calls. I'm a epileptic patient and had a grand mal while in the store, the worker bees that helped me out were great. I called the store later the same day asking if I could talk to a manger about possibly getting the video of the seizure for my doctor. One it took two days to get a hold of a manger, and two they told me falt out no. They didn't even want to hear why I needed that video, they told me the only way I was getting it was the police. So my question is what happened during my grand mal that they are trying to hide?

I went in to check out watches and a gentleman with long lighter brown hair helped me out. He sold me a seiko turtle and was very cordial and excited in assisting me. I wish I had gotten his name but I hope that this review reaches the manager as that guy deserves a raise. Shout out to the guy working the jewelry department on 1-26-24 around 11:30. Dude rocks, and I probably wouldn’t have purchased the watch had he not been so forthcoming, patient, and even happy as I took my time trying pieces on and discussing the different options.

Cologne section is well stocked with new and fresh fragrances. The sales people are decently knowledgeable about fragrances. Store is mostly clean.

All the wonderful ladies at the perfume counters were extremely helpful. I smelled 10 different perfumes for my wife and they spent 10+ minutes helping me find the perfect one. I come here every year for perfume and the staff is always helpful and kind.
