This year I will have attended 78 classes in total. I have had some amazing realizations and connections on my mat. The instructors are personable, friendly, and guide amazing flows. The studio is comfortable, I love that there are two rooms so that means more class options.Grateful for my many of minutes spent here at Modo and many more to come.

I've been here today. It was my first class in this studio, but I like to go yoga studio while traveling. This place is one of the best place I have ever visited. Atmosphere was really nice and instuctor seems to understand the flow of yoga. I enjoyed a lot. If I live here, I will go!

This studio in Portland is among my favorites, especially the BIPOC class with Graey. It would be appreciated if attendees could respect the intention of creating a space for the people of color

I've taken 15 classes with 7 instructors here so far.Pros: truly beautiful space, wonderful amenities (showers!), and so many class times! It's so convenient to take an early class before work and that is rare in Portland! It is definitely hot yoga if that's what you're looking for! The app is really easy to use too!!!Cons: coming from a different style of yoga modo feels very sterile. There are no dharma talks, no chanting, no ohms. It doesn't seem like the teachers have much room for creativity or flexibility in their flows (and maybe for someone else getting the same consistency is exactly what you want-it's just not what I'm used to). Some teachers seem to have rapport with students coming and going but it doesn't blend into the class.Modo feels like all surface no substance to me.

Excellent yoga studio! I felt super welcome there. I took a yin class with graey and it was exactly what I needed. First timers get free yoga mat, yoga towel, lock, sweat & regular towels. They have showers in the men and women’s locker rooms. They also have gender inclusive changing rooms!! I would belong to this studio if I was local.

Great community. Mostly under 30 if that’s your jam. Quickly becoming my go to for hot vinyasa style yoga. Free mat rentals when you bike to class and inside bike parking ?. All the teachers are great: Jenn D, Rebekah, Aliya B, Keri etc.

Walking into Modo Yoga Portland I feel welcomed, affirmed, in community.Leaving Modo Yoga Portland I feel centered, challenged, strong, energized!I've practiced at many studios in Portland and I am thrilled to have found Modo. The benefits go far beyond the physical- somehow the messaging each instructor offers is exactly what I need to hear. I feel yoga folding into my life in a deeper and more aligned way because of the entire experience Modo yoga provides. Each class is truly a gift! Couldn't recommend Modo Yoga Portland highly enough <3

This is now my new home studio! I hate to say it, but it is hard finding a studio where you feel comfortable being a poc. Modo has been holding it down and it is just such a different feeling from other studios in Portland. Its been a long time since I felt committed to my practice. But having a teacher like Marceau, has recommitted me to my practice. He gives all the queue's, to make the adjustment necessary to make the pose FEEL GOOD. I have been feeling stronger everyday and let something go after each class. Having a great experience in this space! Try it, also Marceuas playlist, is Chefs Kiss!

In attempts to having my partner try yoga, we did the discounted month. Our experience was going well until the end when a student yelled at us for quietly chatting. Another couple next to us, who were straight and white, were also quietly chatting. She chose to yell at us, I believe because we were gay and my partner is a person of color. It was a very "Karen" moment, and told us to leave the studio if we were going to chat. Even though the studio tries to support the queer and biopic community, those that attend feel differently. We definitely won't be back! Please try harder at creating a safe and inclusive environment!

Holy crammed room Batman! I should have heeded the other reviews that mention this. I do not enjoy smacking my neighbors elbows or worrying about kicking them while trying to do yoga. This place is super nice and fancy inside. The staff was sweet and welcoming. I also got the vibe that this studio is meant for seasoned yogis and not novice ones. The teacher doesn't do the class with you and just yells out what to do. This would be a more enjoyable experience if it wasn't so crammed. I probably won't be back just from the vibe in the class and the cramped quarters.

I'm truly impressed with the vibes and teachers who work here. Super grateful for the beautiful yoga taught here along with tea at the end! I've always been indifferent about yoga until Graey took me here and have since become addicted! Highly recommend signing up for Graey's classes! Skye is amazing as well!

I signed up using the one month unlimited deal and quickly decided I would be joining with a membership. Every teacher is so welcoming and kind, the classes are wonderful, and the studios are beautiful.

Definitely recommend! I loved practicing here during a short visit to Portland. Super friendly and accommodating staff. It’s in a beautiful, spacious building with a bright, airy lobby. There are multiple studio rooms, as well as separate rooms equipped with lockable lockers and clean, hot showers! Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking. And take Skye’s class!
