A massive thank you to both Grim and Violet. They were wonderful to our pup. Our sweet pup loves to play and talk and people who don't know dogs well can be concerned by her. This is the first time I have seen our pup play with people other than my husband and I. It was absolutely refreshing to know in a crazy busy place like Portland that there are wonderful and kind individuals who do an amazing job at connecting with their customers. As a dog mom this absolutely warmed my heart that they both took the time to get to know our sweet puppygirl. Thank you so much for a splendid experience!

Speciality pet stores like this attract those with money - or those looking for items not easily found. I am in the latter group. I shop two of their stores: Hawthorne (street parking), and Grant Park, next to New Season's, on NE Broadway (parking garage, shared by New S's.). Found some great stuff for my foster kitty: a $10 feather on a wand (with $5 refills); a kitty litter that is low tracking made from corn (Wee Kitty), and VetriScience Composure chews for my foster kitty. (They said if they don't work they would refund it - or credit it. Can't remember which.) They have knowledgeable staff and your questions will get answered quickly. They deliver if you are in their service area. I also believe they do good by donating pet food to worthy causes. That alone gets my vote!

Love their selection and quality! Super cool you can try out cans of food. They always have the cbd treats I need, and I always walk out with free treats for the kids.

nice place and staff . Only thing is I managed to buy dog shoes and didn't realize they were sold only two at a time...so left with only two shoes This is more the product's issue than. the store, though.

There seems to be as many Mud Bay's in Portland as Starbucks. So I was hesitant to go in, preferring small, local businesses. But the staff was so helpful, telling me about the "free 3" opportunity when I shared how sick my kitty was. And it appears that they have almost everything. So I will return.

Casey is the best. I have a newly diabetic cat and one with inflamed intestines. Each time he was able to explain what I needed and why. I have been all over town - many specialty pet food store Dove Lewis and my vet - and no one was helpful as to what food are either high protein/low carbs or bland foods except Casey.It has been a very interesting time with recommendations but no specifics. Thanks Casey!

Always amazing customer service, fantastic selection for my kitty ? and I just purchased the cutest mat. Their prices are more than fair, especially for the location. An extremely friendly atmosphere, filled with thoughtful, and high quality pet products.
