I got a flat tire yesterday and ended up, coincidentally, pulling into the NAPA parking lot off of Morrison. It was my first time changing a tire, and when I went into the store to get wheel chocks, the employees inside (Darin and Adam) were so supportive and made me confident in my ability to change it. I'm a woman in my 20s and generally hate going into any type of auto store or mechanic because I'm usually talked down to or made to feel stupid, but the guys here cheered me on with confidence. They didn't try to do it for me, but let me know that they would be inside if I needed anything. They also gave me advice on where to take my tire to get repaired and took a look once I got the spare on to make sure I was good to go. It was a really wholesome experience--thanks to Darin and Adam for making what could have been a stressful morning feel like a personal win!

Great customer service! I purchased a new car battery earlier this year at this NAPA location, and unfortunately the battery became defective and would not hold a charge. However, this store honored the warranty and gave me a free replacement. Michael the salesman was very helpful while I swapped the batteries out in the parking lot. He brought out some tools and a flashlight, and stayed outside until my car successfully started. No one likes having car trouble, but NAPA made it a lot easier. Thanks!

Got my meyer plow 3 weeks ago and found that the controller for the plow would not fit this plow. It was for a different plow. I contacted them right away, and called them every week from then and still nothing. I ordered and paid over 200$ for the correct part for the plow from the manufacturer, and they sent it in 3 days. I do not recommend ordering anything from this site, they mess things up and send you things your not able to use and dont care about jumping on it and getting it corrected in a timely fashion. Still have not gotten a reply from them or the parts needed. The ******* needs wireless they sent me hydraulic which cannot be used

If I could give this company a zero I would. I am a longtime auto enthusiast and this company used to be known for being decent. You may even be able to find a franchise where you can get good help, but the company itself is terrible. I was forced to buy some break calipers that were available online only, out of two both were not disappointing. One of the calipers had the hardware attached and someone had obviously used a power tool to do so and the rubber gaskets were blown out of it and the bolt had been tightened down so far that it was past the threads. After a half an hour of prying that part was made usable. the second caliper was installed but was faulty and would not compress. I tried to take it to the store for a return and a reorder, they don't handle online orders in the store at all if it is a napa franchise. I was given an assistance number at the store which I called and they said they needed a picture of the caliper, and despite it looking just like any other caliper I obliged. I didn't hear back so I called, no progress. Then they called and asked how I knew that the part did not operate. Despite me physically seeing it not compress and then getting a second opinion from a mobile mechanic they said they would now need a letter from the mechanic for the return. A hundred and twenty dollar an hour mechanic that makes house calls (brake issue) doesn't write letters for free. I am out the time on the first part, the installation, the mechanic call, the drive to the store, numerous emails and phone calls, waiting on the part initially, and now they would like me to pay more in time and money to send them a note for a purchase that is less than thirty days old on a part that is even supposed to be covered by a warranty. These are crooks plain and simple with no quality control.

What a great business model! Not only is Napa auto parts well stocked, are local in inner SE Portland, with friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable staff- they really are happily available even 5 minutes to closing. Once my sneaky engine light popped on at 5:50pm on a Friday night, I didn't want to imagine the worst all weekend. I needed the code(s). I called as I was driving and Darren/Darryl(sp?) cheerfully said "come by. " He checked the codes- looked up the description, then Adam (I hope I'm remembering your correct names, guys- forgive me if I got them wrong) Anway, Adam double checked just to confirm if the code was storage??. Though I have no idea what any of that meant, I was so pleased. And the fact that these auto part stores check codes for free at no charge, is one of the kindest services that is offered in this day and age. I am so grateful. Stop by the store if you need parts or codes. Thanks Audrey

This is the best auto parts store in town. The guys there are quick and professional and they know what they're talking about. And the actual parts they sell are higher quality than you can get at the other parts stores.

Hi - I posted a review of Advanced Auto Parts recently because of another negative buying experience online. This weekend I tried Napa Auto Parts again even though I've had frustrating experiences with them in the past. The problem? Well, it's the same as AAP which is they intentionally mislead you that a product is available and that it will be available for pickup or be delivered next day or in 2 business days. This time I ordered a $350 car battery on a Sunday when the system told me it's available AND would be at the store no later than Tuesday. Well, it's Tuesday at 1:30pm and I haven't received my email telling me the battery is at the store for me to pick up. I called the store, nice person checked, and came back only to say it's not here, maybe it will be here Wednesday. MAYBE? Maybe WEDNESDAY? I learned the store does not check each day if customers have been promised a product and it didn't arrive as promised. They don't check and they don't communicate with the customer if Napa has screwed up again. Funny though. I can go online right now and to order that battery and their the system tells me it's available for pickup at the store TOMORROW. Clearly, Napa conveys such BS in order to get the customer to pay and buy without really knowing when the product will show up in the store. This is as misleading and deceptive as it gets. Unfortunately I now know Napa and Advanced Auto both follow the same deceptive practices.

The employees were incredibly helpful, especially since I walked in not knowing exactly what I needed for my car.
