This salon is the closest to my home so I’ve tried to give them endless attempts to give quality service. In the dozen or so times I’ve tried them I’ve done every service under the sun; gel, dip, acrylic, pedicure, manicure.
Almost every time I’ve had to return day of or next day to have them fix SOMETHING (eg, broken tip, peeled gel, etc).
I really wanted the salon to be good because of how wildly convenient it is for me, but at the end of the day, I am finally giving up and not going to be returning

Bad bad bad. They are mean when they don’t understand your request (even with pictures). I asked for a burgundy French tip and they acted like it was an unreasonable request. It came out messy and they scoffed when I asked them to clean it up. I also asked them to fix the shape and they never did. They seem to just do whatever they want, not what you ask for. It also took THREE HOURS. And they relentlessly hounded us for a tip as we walked out. DONT COME HERE
Requested style: They don’t listen to requests. They just kind of do whatever they want.

I used to come to this salon when I lived closer. Came back despite some of the recent negative reviews because I’ve loved my nails in the past. I scheduled with Fiona and when I showed up she wasn’t there. After I left, I realized that my nails were not done well at all. They were thick and put on crooked. I chose to just live with it because there would’ve been no way I had time to go back. After just over a week, 2 nails have already popped off. For what I’m paying, a full set should easily last a month. They weren’t willing to do anything for me when I called other than to pay to have them fixed because it was over a week. It’s really disappointing considering the cost.

Do not come here. This is my second time visiting new life because it’s so close to my house and both times have been a complete waste of time. The technician who did my nails both times rushed through the entire process the first time, I spent $160 on my manicure and pedicure to end up not likeing my manicure at all. The acrylic was so thick looking it looked like I had cheap press on’s on. This time around I came to get that same set removed and while my nails were soaking in acetone for 15 minutes two women came in for a walk -in pedicure and my technician left and did a pedicure on them. I was sitting there with acetone on my hands for 30 minutes. She then used a buffer tool very roughly hurt me twice and there is still chunks of acrylic left on my nails. Do not come here. They will rush through your service while trying to squeeze in more walk-ins during your visit. Poor quality not worth the price, and the ambiance is horrible, my technician both times kept calling someone on speaker phone. For a $40 manicure I might be ok with that, but not for a $70 manicure.

I’ve been going to New Life for about 3 years now and in those 3 years I’ve watched the quality of work and technicians decline.
My most recent visit was less than a week ago, I opted for a shellac manicure and classic pedicure. I show up on time for my appointment only to be told that I’d have to wait, which I had no problem with. During my 20 minute wait I watched as three technicians worked on the nails of 4 four people that were there before me. An additional 4 more show up, one with an appointment like myself then others were walkins. Instead of turning those people away because they were obviously understaffed and over booked they chose to try to squeeze them in.
Side note: Once one of the techs was done with her negligent and rushed job on another customer she proceeded to harass the woman about a tip, mentioning it over 3 times and rolling her eyes and complaining once the customer left without sending a Venmo tip right on the spot.
I think this is where the problem started. My manicure was rushed and sloppy. The layers weren’t given enough time to cure between coats which led to peeling, a bumpy uneven job with black and brown specks trapped between under the top coat. I tried to ignore it, but it’s extremely annoying to pay for a manicure that you’re completely unhappy with. I now need to spend another $90 to have my nails redone less than a week after I had them done. This is my last time visiting new life and I absolutely will no longer be suggesting it to others.

DANGEROUS AND RECKLESS: Cindy took the dremel directly from me to another customer to work on her feet. She then brought back the dremel to work on my fingers, with the dust of the other client still on the drill bit. Unclear if when I spoke up about it, she changed the bit or just wiped off the dust. Now, I wait to see if an infection manifests.
BAD WORK: I’ve had dip extension nails for 18 months and the only time I had a CHIP, I deserved it for using my nail as a screwdriver. I come here and have a nail BREAK every 5 days? One while I was washing my hands? You’re joking.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: I decided to walk in for the first time to this shop while on a walk during a particularly warmer day. So I was sweating when I got there. There was a younger woman who hovered and chatted with Cindy the entire appointment. She mimicked someone sweating while laughing and gossiping in a language I don’t know. So that felt great. Don’t worry, they did offer me water…. As the top coat of my nails was being applied. At the very end of the appointment.
I had to go in three times total for one problematic/ poorly done set of dip extension nails. At none of the appointments was I spoken to in a way that would indicate they wanted me to be there. I don’t expect a ton of conversation at a nail salon. But my goodness. Such an alienating experience.
Cleanliness: TERRIBLE. BAD. AWFUL. I can’t believe someone would even try to use the same dremel but between customers without cleaning.

My friend booked us an appointment days in advance. She got a full set and I wanted a gel mani with a few designs. They kept accepting walk-ins when they were clearly short staffed and busy. The tech doing my nails had to hop back and forth between me and a walk-in. But she did her thing because my mani turned out great -- she said cuticles who? Cuticles where? lol. The second tech is the reason why I'm writing this review. She had a terrible attitude from the get when she was doing my friend's nails (before doing my designs). When it was my turn, I showed her my phone with the inspo design, which were little pretzels. She used a red nail polish to draw out some squiggles -- I was trying to trust the process so I didn't say anything at first. But I had to stopped her and asked if she was going to lay the brown over the red, she wasn't sure what I meant so I showed her the photo again, pointed and said they're brown pretzels... the waaay she huffed and puffed, clicked her tongue and all. She took it off and when she was going to start the design again, she pulled out the red nail polish again, I stopped her once more and said I would like brown. She rolled her eyes and said "go pick out the color!" in a very annoyed tone. Um, absolutely not. I didn't want to proceed after that. To see the photo again and clearly see and hear me say that pretzels are brown but proceed to pull out the red again??? It was the attitude for me. Worst customer service ever. *No shade about walk-ins, it's normal. But not when you're short staffed. *I trust the process and let the pros do their thing. Some techs use a different base color so that the main color pops. Which is why I didn't say anything initially, in hindsight I should have spoke up sooner.

The service was really sweet, but if you’re looking for long nails, run. 4 hours later and I have lumpy square nails in a color I didn’t want for 120$
Requested style: Coffin long with baby pink and glitter.

Went here to get my nails done for my brother's wedding. The worst part is that the nail tech was on the phone while using the e-file and gouged the skin around my cuticle so deeply that it bled for hours. I have a scab around my nail now. It looked infected for one day, but after thorough cleansing it seems to be healing. I will likely have an ugly scar here for a long time though. These photos are after 5 days of healing.
On top of that, the manicure is just plain bad. They did fine on the pedicure, which is just white gel polish. But the shaping and thickness of the acrylic manicure is horrible. Some of them are bulging, and the undersides are crusted and uneven. I asked the nail tech to use the round magnet on the cat eye nail polish so it would have a velvety effect and she literally just said "no". So I didn't even get the style I wanted.
They still charged full price for the manicure even though she completely mangled my finger. Ridiculous.
Anyway this place sucks. Don't come here if you want to keep all of your flesh, or get a halfway decent manicure. I would recommend this place to people who want to have ugly, bulging nails and have their nail beds mangled.
There's also nothing organic about it??? So they're just liars on top of being bad at what they do.

Scheduled a manicure on a Monday, hoping it would be slow. No one there but me and two nail techs. They were busy giving each other pedicures, so I waited. About 10 minutes later, I was allowed to get my pedicure. The water was cold, not warm. I asked for it to be warm. The two ladies were much more interested in their own conversations than attending to my pedicure needs. I asked for an extra callus removal and I kept pointing to where I needed it. Too busy visiting with her teammate. Didn't happen. Geeze, I've been several times, but if the owner is not there, these girls don't really care about much of anything except chatting with each other.

Got an acrylic fill with Victor and didn’t feel supported in my choices of color, decals or designs. Felt as if he got more frustrated as the appointment went on and despite asking to go get gel polish on my skin (due to an allergy) there were many times my skin touched gel and gel was cured onto my hand resulting in a bad allergenic reaction. Fine place to go to if you’re looking for a simple color or fill but if you like to get creative, this is not for you. Still turned out cute, but not what I wanted and sloppy for a pricy fill. Photo was taken after picking off clumps of gel cured onto my skin and getting medicated cream to help the reaction.

I paid about $100 for this set. The lady didn’t cut them as short as I wanted she kept on telling me it’s too short and that it won’t work with French. I also asked for her to make the French even thinner she said that’s too far. I wanted to more clean look with the milky white. I will pay good money for nails I understand that it’s a business etc. but $100 for this?? Is absolutely ridiculous. I do like that they stayed on for a very long time. The lotion they have does smell amazing. The only reason I’ll give them another try is if I have a different nail tech. Will update.

They do an amazing job! I got a dip mani from Cindy and she was so nice and definitely didn’t miss any small details. My nails look perfect and I will be back ? can’t recommend them enough.

I used to love this place, but it’s been only misses for the last year +. I paid $100 for a French tip set and within six days, it looks like cheap glue-ons that are falling off and I don’t even want to come in to get them removed.
During my entire appointment, the staff were yelling loudly at each other, and I was incredibly uncomfortable. The woman doing my nails seemed offended when I tried to comment on the shape. Should’ve brought my AirPods. Or maybe I should just find another place.
It is a shame, I’d like to track down their old techs and get a decent manicure that lasts longer than a week.
