This is an excellent place to buy vegan groceries. They had the largest selection of faux meats, vegan cheeses, and vegan ice creams I've ever seen in one store. The quality of their fresh fruits and vegetables was great. They had all the grains I needed, even the harder to find ones like farro, amaranth, etc. They had a very large variety of different kinds of flours. They also had the harder to find ingredients for many vegan recipes I've seen on youtube. Before shopping at New Seasons, I used to have to order these items on Amazon, because regular grocery stores where I live don't carry those items. They had a great section of bulk foods too. Many prices are on the high side, but they also have some good prices in their bulk foods section.

This store has a great stock of specialty products, fresh produce and a take out food counter, but it is so expensive and never feels very inclusive, just crowded with upper class, irritated white people. I really mostly avoid coming here except for holiday splurges. I don't often experience "the friendliest store in town", but last visit I had great service from a newer employee who helped me find mincemeat, which I didn't buy because it was 9.99$ for 6 oz. Not enough to make one pie.

For me to take time to write a review, let alone a horrible one, this should tell you how we felt leaving the store today. We came in shopping and I can tell you the checkout process was the worst experience we have ever had. I’ve been shopping at this location since it’s been open and seeing how miserable the employees continue to be over the years get old and as a customer being treated poorly due to someone having “a bad day” also gets old. It’s time to reevaluate your employees who have been there forever and bring back an actual work ethic, people who know how to provide great customer service, and people who actually want to work and be there. It seems that this store keeps people around for years because of fear of possible later issues but it’s time to start understanding the neglect customers have been receiving for so long and how tired we are at being snapped at and mistreated. The man at the meat department was the only one that knew how to handle customers and provided really great service, the rest need to be trained or let go.I sadly think it’s time to start shopping somewhere else.

The first thing I noticed was the smell it was amazing. My wife ordered the food online. I went and picked it up. It was advertised as Thanksgiving food, but we use it for Christmas dinner because, for some reason, Christmas dinner isn't really a thing, which is odd.

I just left a 50 dollar bag of groceries in the parking lot, drove all the way home in rush hour. I called to ask if they had it and the nicest guy offered to go look. He couldn't find it but asked if I had a receipt-- I had my Apple Pay record but no paper receipt-- he said he'd get his manager Curtis on the line to see if he could do something. CURTIS was not even a little helpful or sympathetic, what a terrible experience. I didn't expect anything, but why not be nice about it? He said maybe with an itemized receipt he would have replaced some items, but without a receipt there's no way to know "if indeed you even left your groceries in the parking lot". What the hell Curtis? I drove a half hour in rush hour to perpetrate this con for a bag of groceries? Ridiculous. I lost my groceries and get my integrity insulted. Thanks.

One month since my last review and the bulk coffee bins are still coated in rancid oils. I was told by New Seasons that they had a plan for cleaning these bins once a week but have been suffering from staffing issues. Somehow food safety/quality suffering in such visible ways has not yet made it to the priority list. Insane that they set the goal at once a week but the bins haven’t been cleaned in the 3+ years I’ve been going here. Again, I will delete all of my reviews when these bins have been cleaned.

In a world where it seems like prices are insane but we mostly have been shielded from true cost to produce I wanted to click four stars because of some of the prices. However there are many products that are a deal and the produce is nice so I would have to say 4.75 stars. Staff are the best! I go in half asleep or harried on quick shopping errands and they are always really great. They seem to notice when I am not finding stuff and ask if I need help in a genuine way. We may have a slight addiction to their rosemary baguette. It is phenomenal " naughty" comfort food especially with a bit of Oregon made cheese...mmmm . Gotta recommend Brier Rose Butter bloom soft cheese from Dundee. A little bit goes a long way and it is sublime. Thank you for being such great help staff at Arbor Lodge!! Special shout out to coffee folks for saving lives ?.

Such a great store with an awesome organic selection. The store was set up nice, the produce was fantastic, and the pizza smelled out of this world. I regret not trying the spicy pepper pizza.Overall the prices seemed fair for the quality of goods you were purchasing.

The Meat Butcher was very Welcoming which I was all unsure at 1st since New Seasons Shopping is new 2day 2 me. He had all the meats I wanted picked&packaged very quickly, he reminded me of the good old Customer Servicing Service Employees of my Generation I grew up with. I'll let you all know if the meats, juices and goat milk I got taste fresher, better and healthier than what I usually shop on my next post.

Kinda bummed on this New Seasons location. They haven’t cleaned the bulk coffee bins in years. I’ll delete this review as soon as they do.

How come everyone who works here is in their 30s+? I've never seen a high school kid working here. Makes it a very depressing environment to shop around a bunch of miserable adults who should've gotten real jobs by now. Store is always over-staffed as well, it seems, and yet it'll still take more time than necessary to get help at any of the counters. Who even knows what all these employees are doing? Sad as hell to see y'all picket for your union the other day too. Could've used that energy to search for a job that'll actually be of use in the coming years. Even sadder the customers have to pay the ridiculous prices this store thinks they can get away with charging. Clearly the extra money isn't going to your union employees if they're so pissed! I guess I really shouldn't feel bad for people dumb enough to shop here. Highway robbery.

Larger New Seasons in the area, great service, and big ups to the curator of beers at this New Seasons. Always has top notch options and it's really appreciated. Also the music is good at this location. Maybe that piece is mental.

this used to be the best New Seasons location but now it's the worst. with the exception of a few employees who have been there forever the rest are not good. I don't know what is happening but the shelves are empty A LOT of items all the other locations have. the manager is very rude and 3 separate employees who I've never seen again took my number telling me "they would absolutely call me either way" after asking about getting a specific item and I never heard from any of them again. those were more than 6 months ago. one of them I was told was the "head of" ordering or whatever you call the person responsible for actually ordering stock. this store has always been for those of us who need to be on special diets but you have slowly completely stopped having keto options. it is not a fad for many of us! we have to eat this way. I've been a customer since New Seasons came to Portland but I'm DONE. good bye completely disappointed

I make 80k a year and I have no kids but I will never pay $1.70 for one lemon. Service is ok but it seems like the people working there are hungry. I like the variety tho, sometimes they have good things. Save your money.
