I found NW Surface Cleaners on the West Linn Community FaceBook page. Wow !! I inherited a 25+ year old cedar deck with the home I purchased last year. The wood was in dreadful shape. In addition, it was stained a nauseating orange, clashing with the house colors. I didn't expect miracles, especially after trying to wash off this year's unusually heavy pollen drop myself. I tried power washing, scrubbing, TruGreen solution, nothing worked. In fact, after power washing I just drove the pollen deeper into the wood grain.
The pictures speak for themselves. This is a family business. Kevin, the son, is taking over from his dad who is the founder. The price was reasonable and Kevin treats his employees with respect meaning they take pride in their work and do a great job. He stopped by regularly to make sure everything was ok.
I also have to note we had an awful experience with Sherwin Williams stains (that the previous owner used) - I should have paid attention to the reviews on SW stains - we had them "color match" a stock semi-solid color (chestnut) to a solid. First round was taupe. Second round was the correct color but the coverage was dreadful !!! I admitted defeat and should have just let Kevin "do his thing" with the stains he regularly works with from Miller Paint. Second coat: Voila !! That tired, old deck has been brought to life.
I learned my lesson., Going forward, NW Surface Cleaners will come out annually and power wash my deck for a very reasonable price. Thank you Kevin and crew for a job well done.

Kevin and crew did an excellent job with my deck. We have a huge wrap around deck that was with the house we purchased two years ago. It looked like it had not been cleaned or stained for years. Kevin gave a fair quote, about half the price of another company, and completed the job quickly once he came for the scheduled day. He even left me enough stain to do the rails on the deck - I wanted to do those myself.

First timer with NW Surface Cleaner. Very happy with the work done. Thoroughly cleaned the deck and railing. Moved furniture as needed. Arrived on time and made sure the trouble spots were taken care of. Looking at the finished product, I’d say it was money well spent.

Cedar deck cleaned, sanded and stained. Fast response to my inquiry. Kevin came out and I got the quote right away. Work commenced and finished quickly. Cleanup was spotless. Kevin came back at finish to inspect and give me a walk through for approval before final payment.
Great communication at all times. Deck looks great. Friendly, hard working crew that seemed to enjoy what they do.
Definitely would use their services for future projects.

Went with Kevin and his team based on the fair price and the other positive Google reviews. I was not disappointed, these 5 star reviews are accurate, the team is solid, they do good work.
I had them pressure wash, sand, and restain our large cedar deck, along with washing house, roof, and gutters. All of it turned out great. I would happily recommend them to friends and family.

My experience with Kevin and his team at NW Surface Cleaner has been excellent, I highly recommend them! They are responsive, professional, and obviously take pride in their work. It's clear that making the customer happy with the results is their top priority.
So far I have hired the them to
1) Remove and treat moss on my roof and clean out the gutters - they did a fabulous job and were super thorough while being careful not to damage any roof shingles
2) Pressure wash the driveway, walkway and sidewalk - wow, what a difference! I don't think it had been washed in decades, it looks like new
3) Wash, sand, and paint my deck - after the first coat I had a change of heart and asked to use a different color. Kevin was so accommodating, he helped me select some different options and came out to paint samples for me to select from. I'm sure it was a pain to make a change at the last minute and I so appreciated their flexibility.

We were very satisfied with our experience. He arrived on time and was polite and professional and explained everything to us. We are an elderly couple and he even helped us lift a heavy box. He was also respectful of our home where we take off our shoes before entering. Thank you.

Got my gutters cleaned from NW Surface Cleaner. With the heavy rains, one of my downspouts got somewhat clogged by sand the next week. I contacted Kevin and he immediately got a crew here to fix it within the same day. Really appreciate the quick response and service!
