I personally like buying the sealing wax and stamp for newly weds or new homeowners. You'll notice they have Japanese imported stationary and fountain pens as well.III. QUALITYWhat's special about Oblation Papers & Press is the paper they provide is made inhouse. I think that's pretty cool!

I love this shop, nestled in Portland's Pearl District, I've been visiting regularly and love how they have new items every week. Great seasonal stationary and cards, pens, journals, accessories all of your gift wrapping needs, and they even have a wonderful selection of refurbished vintage typewriters. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

When one walks into this store, you can immediately tell it is a wonderful place to browse for something special. One can only admire the quality and variety of cards, specialty papers, and choices of fine writing instruments. Their selection of new and gently used vintage pens are unmatched anywhere in the region...the staff are both friendly and attentive in a quiet positive way, always willing to point out specials and demonstrate their knowledge of the offerings available in stationary, cards and my favorites: pens. I have been collecting and using good writing instruments for over 35 years in various states and countries. I am happy that this store exists and that the staff actually knows about the various pens sold. The only downside to their new pen prices is that they are full list price...no discount. National companies can match their prices if not actually offer discounts and also no sales tax..just shipping cost.. Amazon Prime can be a viable resource on some pens for less than list price without shipping cost...Blicks Art Supply around the corner, carries Lamy pens...that offers some competition...selling though does not infer knowledge of what is being sold by Blick Art Supply. I have not asked. I like the folks at Oblations. Their team knows what they sell and they readily share that information.

I came to Oblation for the Traveler's company stamp caravan and had a great time. Everyone was absolutely lovely. I pre-ordered a planner for next year and customer service was excellent. In store, the stock of fountain pens, inks, cards, and other sundries was vast. Oblation is in the top stationery stores I've visited and I hope to return one day soon!

I used Oblation Papers for my wedding invitations and the entire journey was amazing! I worked with Molly and from the very first intake call to the moment I received the invitations, she was fun to work with, knowledgeable, supportive, and patient while we chose what worked best for us. The final product was exactly what we had dreamed it would be and we would recommend them to anyone looking to get their wedding invitations done in a beautiful way. If I can give more than five stars, I would! Thank you Molly and the entire Oblation Papers team!

Well stocked and unique shop! I had a great shopping experience here! You can find many different quality notebooks, 2024 calendar and pens.I got pens and inks, I was happy with my purchase till I saw them cheaper in other stores. Disappointed!

I am a first time customer of Oblation Papers and Press and bought a variety of cards that were on sale from them.They arrived yesterday and I was so happy and pleased at the quality and excellent craftsmanship of the homemade paper, letterpress print and 3D embossing of the cards.The cards themselves were wrapped in individual plastic sleeves and all of my cards arrived in good condition to Hawaii where I live because of the care taken to package my cards.Oblation Papers and Press even took the time to write me a personal thank you note included with my cards!It is extra special touches like their personal note to me that make this company and their customer service so special.I will definitely buy from Oblation Papers and Press again and would highly recommend them to others as well.

When everything else in this world has fallen apart, know that this place offers you the opportunity to communicate with others in a way.. that is unexpected and appreciated. Yes, paper. Paper with words on it. Paper with words that YOU have written. This place makes and sells these things.. called... Cards. Yes, you too can send mail (which could take days) to someone you care about. They will get something in the mail, that isn't a Bill or an Advertisement, and they will love you more. Of course this place also sells all types of things, stamps, writing pads, pens, journals, calendars, ink, and well anything that relates or includes paper in/on it. So I have been coming to this little shop for years, and I live in Seattle.. which means I have to make an effort to drive down. I love what this place is all about, it's something I encourage you to visit, with an open heart, and empty stomach... err... maybe not so much the empty stomach, but yeah.. come find reasons to share joy with others.. because this place will do that to you.

Oblation Papers was so incredible to work with for my wedding save the dates and invitations! On top of their creativity and the absolutely beautiful work they do, their customer service is amazing. I definitely plan to use them again in the future. The attention to detail and uniqueness of each design is breathtaking.

Excellent selection, unpleasant management.They didn't honor a pricetag. I'd have been likely a lifelong customer if they'd had, based on your stellar offerings and other kind, helpful staff.When I entered, there was a minor conflict where a manager appeared to be treating an employee condescendingly over a minor mistake. After browsing for 40 minutes, largely over leather-bound journals, I settled on one I loved and then noticed a pricing inaccuracy. I could've said nothing and had this same employee simply scan my mislabeled, cheaper journal. I chose honesty and pointed out the disparity, then the employee brought their manager over and I asked if they'd honor the pricetag. They simply said "No, sorry" before turning away to restock it.I loved Oblation as a storefront and would love to redeem the company, but unfortunately, this manager's unhappiness is affecting others. I wish them the best.

Very happy with my visit.Well stock with regular as well as specialty products. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who were happy to chat and knew what they were talking about. I felt encouraged to ask any questions and sample products but was not pressured to purchase anything especially anything out of an established price range
