Seems more than half the museum is closed, and the rest is broken or aimed at only children under 10… permanent exhibits are a joke. They need to build more of an experience with flow…

a sign says "all are welcome here" but another sign says "shirts required" which makes me feel unwelcome, and it was also too hot inside to wear a shirt, and shirts are available for sale here so what happens if someone owns zero shirts, this place is a place of hatred against human bodies

Be careful bringing drinks in, although they let you bring them in, you cannot bring them in most of the exhibits. I was stuck waiting for my family to go through exhibits because I was having a rough day and couldn't bring myself to throw away my coffee. It would have made a world of difference if I could have had my coffee with me and participate with my family.

why be a sucker and spend $70 on tickets when you can walk in for free?

We went to the After Dark 21+ event "Out of This World" this week. It was so much fun! All the exhibits and events that we saw were memorable, and we definitely would do it again with some things in mind now.
The layout/setup caused us some confusion, and we missed a few things (that were the reasons we chose to attend this event in the first place).
Also, the food options were not quite as advertised, so in the future I'd have saved my money and eaten somewhere else prior to coming to this event.
Otherwise it was a blast and we would definitely do it again!

It's really a children's museum, but that isn't clearly communicated in most of the public facing materials. I was unimpressed with most of the museum . . . A lot of exhibits felt cheap/outdated and poorly put together, without much information.
I will say, however, that the submarine tour was 5/5 stars. Very interesting, and very informative.

This entire place is awesome with so much to see and if it gets a little stuffy inside go out and look at the views of the city and the cool Submarine out on the dock.

Almost nothing works.

OMSI is an outstanding destination for science enthusiasts of all ages! The museum offers a vast array of interactive exhibits and hands-on activities that make learning about science, technology, and engineering both fun and informative.
From the impressive exhibits on space and robotics to the engaging demonstrations in the science labs, there’s something for everyone. The featured exhibits are well-curated and often include opportunities for visitors to interact with the displays, which enhances the educational experience. The museum’s planetarium is a particular highlight, offering stunning shows that are both visually captivating and educational.
The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, always willing to provide information or answer questions. The museum is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, with plenty of space for families and groups to explore.
OMSI also has a great selection of educational programs and events that cater to different interests and age groups. The on-site café and gift shop are convenient for visitors looking to take a break or find a unique souvenir.
Whether you’re visiting with kids, friends, or on your own, OMSI provides a captivating and enriching experience that is both entertaining and enlightening. It’s a fantastic place to spark curiosity and learn something new. Highly recommended!

Excellent place to bring the whole family, from small children through to adults. The exhibits change frequently enough that aquiring a membership and visiting frequently always leaves more to do and explore.
There's a fantastic small children's (6 and under) play room upstairs, and they've recently implemented a virtual queue and they'll text you when it's your turn.
I also appreciate the all-gender restrooms over in the planetarium wing.
