The Tax Deduction and I are both afflicted with A.D.D. Over the years I have learned to deal with it, compensate for it and other tricks to overcome its effects. At nearly sixteen years old, my son has not learned these tricks to this degree yet. While binge watching the Walking Dead he took notice of Morgan and his skills with Aikido. He started watching videos, then started reading about it. Before I knew it my kid was all over the back lawn making these moves. The Wife and I decided that maybe he was ready to start studying in earnest. At his first lesson his sensei showed him some amazing things he could do right away. Harnessing the power of the mind, as it were, which for an A.D.D. teenager is no small trick. Seeing his love of studying this new to him martial art we decided to sign on. Now, a few months down the road we are seeing tremendous benefits for him, and improvements. He also gives credit to Aikido for helping him through those last few hard weeks of 10th grade. The instructors are amazing, and patient, and see his potential. They give a first class for free, so what is your excuse for not trying?
