Harassed by employee in parking lot from his car. Told me I can't be "doin that on *his lot." I've never heard of a parts store forbidding customers from doing basic maintenance on the property. Felt pretty discriminatory. I'll take my business to other companies, have been pretty loyal and sending many folks I do repairs for to O'Reilly's for years.

Why are people in auto parts stores so helpful?

These guys up in Oregon City , are top notch. Have some mechanical ability. Understand when you start waiving greasy metal parts around and are very helpful in making sure you have the correct part at a decent price. I appreciate these guys!✌️?

Staff was helpful but they didn't have what I needed. Still searching for the correct XL terminal with large loop conductor on the end ? it is proving quite difficult to find.

Poor parking lot, needs fixed. Pot holes, can hardly see spaces lines. Otherwise, swell place and people.

Where can I start? We asked about a hub assembly with the wheel bearing for a Honda pilot he look up the piece and was $25 cheaper so we were surprised my boyfriend asked him again are you sure that's the right part he said yes but they only had one piece available so he sent us to another store well we got there and the nice guy who we talked to told us that wasn't the assembly it was only the hub. So we had to get the other part.Anyways my point is that maybe they should get more info about the parts they sell because we almost bought them thinking were everything we need and we aren't local to Portland we live 4 hrs away.

Love this place!! All the employees are super helpful and nice, especially Travis Pruiett. He has gone above and beyond on a problem I was having with my car. Told him what was going on and he tested a few parts. Problem solved and suggested I also buy a jump box since I spend a LOT of time up in the super cold mountains where I might only start my car once every couple of weeks. I go to this particular O'Reilly, and it's way out of my way, for pretty much all my car needs and have always been treated very fairly and with respect... and that's why I keep coming back to this particular store. If you've ever had a bad experience at another O'Reilly, trust me, head on over to this store and ask for Travis... and if he's not there, Levi is a great guy and so are the rest of the employees!!

I went to the O’Reilleys near 39th and Powell, purchased a battery that only the 82nd and Powell location had. Since there was only one in stock, I paid for it at the store near 39th, then drove up to this one.The guy working at the 39th Powell were super nice, very helpful, and accommodating.I walked in to the 82nd and Powell store and was helped by Alex.I felt like I was treated like I was an annoyance, or Alex didn’t like his job or something.I’m cool with waiting to get help installing a battery - I’m a patient dude - but even though your store might be a little busy, I’d say on all fronts, just being polite about it would have made this process not go any faster or slower, but make we want to come back here.I was down to wait a bit if I had to.I often work with customers and if I treated them like how you treated me, they would not come back to work with me. How you make a person feel is almost more important than what you’re selling.Hope things are going ok for you, Alex.

This is my local store. Most experiences have been good. Sadly my most recent visit on 11/16/22 at 6pm was terrible. I had bought spares and parts for $400 a few days before. I then needed to return some unused tools (still in their original packaging with my receipt!) only to be told by the man behind the counter that "the store policy did not allow returns and that I should have rented the tools." The man then walked away and ignored me. I was shocked and left. I got assistance at the 122nd Ave store where I was treated like a customer. They realized that one tool had not even been charged (by mistake). I tried to return regardless but they wouldn't take it and said "I could have it."

Good local parts shop. They had the battery I needed.
