Hours: Pea Pod Playschool is a family cooperative childcare program. It provides an opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their children while forming meaningful relationships and a strong community with others outside their immediate family. Parents work a shift alongside other parents and parent-coaches, which allows them to learn from each other. The program also gives parents some much needed time away on their non-working days. It is a wonderful space made out of love and care, where children are truly cared for, respected, and allowed to be themselves. The thoughtful and caring approach affords families a strong sense of safety and confidence. Children thrive under the loving care of the parent-coaches and other parents. They make incredible friendships and are part of a special community where kids love to play together. The co-op experience is unique because parents get to be in the classroom regularly as their child learns and grows. Parents learn a lot about parenting from discussions, readings, and the great staff who model how to handle situations and engage in free play. It is as good for kids as it is for parents. Families solidify lasting relationships, and many parents remain close friends long after.
