Your employees lack compassion and they have attitudes... I asked someone for help and they said .. sorry I am busy I'll get someone for you.. the lady forgot to tell someone to come help me. I am disabled it's hard for me to stand for too long. Finally I asked someone after waiting for 20 mins if they can help I told him what happened with the other employee and he just brushed it off. He just said.. well I am here now ma'am so what can I do for you? I didn't want a sympathy party.. it would have been nice if he said sorry for the wait. After I asked him what I needed he told me what Isles it was a at. He saw I was disabled and wanted a couple of huge bags of dog food and cat food dog and cat toys... I didn't see any carts... He didn't offer to help he just told me what isle it was at and that was it. When I went to the cashier I told him.. after I saw he was a manager... I told him that his employees need to be more compassionate considering they work at a pet store. He also bushes me off.. he was this younger man maybe gay. Not saying that is a problem at all! I just didn't remember his name and that's the only way I can describe him... I'm sorry if that is offensive I really just don't remember his name. After he treated me like I was the problem I didn't but the stuff.. it was over 100 dollars that your store passed on because of your lack of companion and customer service.... Your store was closer then pet smart where I usually go... but never ever again will I shop at this store.

Update to your response: I really hope you do, seems like a lot of people have said this about this petco and you reply with the same response but same outcome. Be better do better, these animals deserve it. Thanks!I have something to tell you, something very sad what happened at your Petco establishment, well I went to buy a couple of parakeets and it was a very bad experience, well, something very sad happened, a manager scolded an employee in front of the customers because she wasn't cleaning the ferrets cage right. It worried me, but she took it out on the little animals. I told her that they were beautiful ferrets and the employee since she was very angry because they scolded her, told me that they are very disgusting and very very aggressive. A pet employee, especially, does not have to refer to the little animals like that. So I asked her, can you help me? I need two parakeets and she said " I'm busy" and she told another employee (another one who was worse than her) couldn't even grab the parakeets'. He abuse them a lot to be able to grab them. He dragged the little tiny brid with those little fish net to catch fish ... he said "oh, oh, I'm afraid of them" and the bird escaped making the worker go after them again. At one point (15 mins later) when we lost the one I actually wanted, I just told him to pick one he could catch, at that point I wasn't interested anymore in having one I have selected... I couldn't watch him having a difficulty time grabbing and dragging them. It really broke my heart.My parakeets that I got that day were very scared for a longtime, I made sure I spend all my time on making their big cage as their paradise! They have everything their little hearts could want or need. They are very happy now, but I had to do a lot to Untraumatize those poor birds. I have had another parakeets and they always adjust within days.I think these people that work at these forget that they are not a bag of food, they are alive, they feel, it was something incredible I witnessed. I hope you guys can train your employees to handle the animals with care or get employees that like what they do. The animals are scared as it is.

I was followed around by an employee clearly targeted there were plenty of customers that were dressed the same the only differences is my skin color. No I didn't have a back pack I had a tiny purse .I have shopped at this petco for many years have came hear at least monthly I feel disgusted at how I was treated. We didn't purchase any thing since we were followed around the store and weren't comfortable the whole time since the minute we walked in. Every single section we were followed over 30 times she was walking by us. And I finally decided to leave to go to Grocery outlet and as soon as we were walking out the lady stood by the door with a stance and her hands on her hip. I take my dog here for the vet over the past 4 years I buy bird food and hamster food I would rather drive to PetSmart in stead now and will be changing vets. I'm really disappointed since it's a short walk from home.This all happened around 10 am

it's Petco, great service, dog friendly obviously. Prices are a little high.

The store was extremely hard to navigate. Merchandise haphazardly all over the place. We were looking for a cat scratching post. They were located in 5 different areas which made it very difficult to make a selection.

Called looking for a specific brand of dog food, a young man named Angel answered, knew exactly what I was looking for, also knew the accurate number of bags in the store, and provided excellent customer service. Thank you, highly recommended.

Rating the Banfield - the staff and doctors are excellent and are of the same high quality you’d find at any other vet clinic. Wellness plans cover what a healthy pet would need and options to add dental once a year aren’t too much more in terms of expense. I have 4 pets and always feel welcomed here.

Their fish department is revolting, been to a lot of fish stores and more specifically petco's, this is the worst condition I've ever seen any aquatic Department , it was quite disgusting and when I brought it up to the person at the front ringing me up ,he could care less, against my better judgement I ended up getting a half moon betta because me and my son we're leaving Portland and I want some type of souvenir to remember what meeting his grandpa for the first time, despite being in a clea tank that is treated in ph balanced,ect, I am very certain it will die anyway, I knew that there was a chance of happening when I bought it, but I figured it was the only chance the poor little fish had, out of maybe 15 other fish, this was the only one that even had a speck of a chance, their fish department needs to be shut down asap it is cruel!!!it is beyond words
