Pioneer Courthouse Square is a beloved civic space in the heart of Downtown Portland, known as the city's "Living Room." This handsome plaza is a hub for public transportation, with all 5 MAX lines, 3 streetcar lines, and most buses stopping here. It's a popular destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, with a variety of restaurants and food trucks nearby. The square features a unique outdoor bowl-shaped seating area, which would be an excellent venue for local artists to perform. It's a dog-friendly space, with plenty of opportunities for picnicking and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. Despite the crowds and occasional attention-seekers, the square remains a cherished part of the city's cultural landscape. Visitors have fond memories of concerts, celebrations, and the unique acoustic spot that amplifies whispers. Overall, Pioneer Courthouse Square is a dynamic and lively gathering place that offers a range of experiences for residents and tourists alike.
Great spot to visit for events. Parking is always a nightmare in this area, so plan ahead to spend some time searching.

I give it 5 stars. I walk through early morning and evening 6 days a week. It's clean, and generally pretty safe. The city has obviously taken some effort to spruce up the downtown area the last few years.

Beautiful, me and my friends went down here on Christmas day, there were so many people and nightlife going on, I got some beautiful shots from this Pioneer area. There's a lot of events going on down here monthly which intrigued me to come down here often and check it out
