Plaid Pantry is a Portland-owned and operated convenience store chain that has been serving customers in the Pacific Northwest since 1963. The store offers a wide variety of quick and accessible snacks and beverages, with friendly and familiar local staff. While the majority of employees are described as nice and helpful, one older white lady is reported to be rude and disrespectful. The store has implemented a policy of only allowing two students at a time due to issues with theft, particularly from teenagers. This policy is in place to prevent shoplifting, which the store has experienced, leading to higher prices for customers. Despite this, the store still has many great repeat customers, including teenagers. The store also adheres to Oregon state laws, which prohibit the sale of alcohol between 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Not very friendly staff (at least when I went) but decent selection.

Anytime I have to stop at plaid this is the one that I go to because the cashiers are friendly and really helpful

I went in on the evening of 11-29-24. The young man behind the counter was friendly and attentive. Smiled and made eye contact. A step above what i usually experience from a convenient store.
