My rating is more of a 3.5 stars, based for me on price for the workouts and the availability.
Pros: 1) this place is really awesome in the inclusive inviting vibe staff create, 2) all fitness levels can do this! Anyone can do these workouts and modifications easy to implement, 3) STRENGTH from regular workouts got me back into a fairly good place fitness wise in about 3 months and 4) ease to join a class one hour prior (or a week out, whatever you need).
Cons: 1) class availability for price (roughly $60/week minimum) and I’m not a morning person with general workouts M-F 6am, 645am, & 9am with 5pm and 6pm, and Saturdays 8am & 9am, 2) frustrating nutrition app (frustrating bc getting the “green rings” can be overwhelming and seemingly impossible-yet coach Aimee really helps you work at putting the “tools” in your toolbox), 3) some classes felt “cliquey” and gave me high school flashbacks, and 4) while this may be bad manners on me and is a reason I took off a star, I did not like being solicited to tip staff.
I was sent emails around the holidays to offer a link to tip staff. And again with the deadline looming for tipping. I was already paying some of the most expensive gym fees in my life and that felt tacky.
This place has parallels to 1:1 personal training, but that’s not what it is. (Unless you pay for that separately) And the coaches were FANTASTIC, loved them all - don’t get me wrong. Maybe the folks who have been there for years have that relationship, I’m not sure. Also, I don’t do FB and it felt like a lot of chatter happens there so sometimes pay to play challenges would happen and it was a little confusing without the social app stuff on Facebook.
Overall, all fitness levels need different options and this is a really good place!
I had done CrossFit and was a runner before, so this is only one perspective on a rating. I left bc I gained strength and endurance and was able to get back to running after paralyzing plantar fasciitis where I gained some 30 lbs in a year and was afraid of getting back into workouts.
This place was inviting and it was a great group of folks who support and share high fives. Personally, I like a more challenging workout to help regulate my diet needs naturally and to push me really hard. I have transitioned to OrangeTheory but I could not have done this without the commitment 3x/wk and STRENGTH gained from this place. I didn’t end up losing much weight at all - but that’s on my poor diet choices and my yo-yo eating.
Sorry so long, but if you need to get back to it, or add a super quick (the 40 minutes are amazing fast), great workout, sign up and try this place!!

I did a groupon with them. The workouts were fine—pretty standard boot camp style. But the real issue? They will not leave you alone. From the moment you show interest, they are pushy as hell about getting you to sign up for a membership. I received an excessive number of texts, calls, and emails—no matter how many times I stated I wasn’t interested. It felt less like a fitness community and more like a sales funnel I couldn’t escape.
If you're just looking to try a class or two, beware: you're not a person to them, you're a lead to convert.
I regret giving them my contact info, and I definitely won’t be back.

I am in my early 30’s, my activity levels had dropped drastically in the last few years since the 2020 Pandemic, and I wanted to change that. I had previously tried self guided workouts and one-on-one personal training, but I wasn’t able to build up the motivation and a sustainable routine from those like I have with FBBC. The FBBC on Hawthorne team, facility, and members are welcoming, helpful, and motivating! I’ve completed 12 weeks so far and made significant, measurable improvements. Coach Aimee and her team are real Pros! Can’t wait for more to come!

10/10 experience at Fit Body on Hawthorne. My partner and I attended this gym for almost 2 years and had the best time. The coaches are supportive, encouraging, and push you enough to get a killer work out in. Recommending this gym to anyone looking for a high intensity workout with great results!

I have been active all my life and done a variety of things, but my cholesterol levels and weight have crept up over the years. I knew I needed to get focused on my health and decided to come back to Fit Body for their Transformation Challenge.
The workouts are fun, easy to follow and modify. I had a shoulder injury for a few weeks and was able to still go as the coaches worked with me on modifying. The coaches really go above and beyond in making us all feel comfortable as a group but also helping us individually. I love that I am in and out within a 40 minute warm-up, workout and then cool-down.
Coaches are sweet, caring, well trained and stay on top of things, keeping us safe, motivated and working hard.
The Transformation Challenge included a customized nutritional plan that is customized through an extensive data base for my age, weight and personal goals and that was the real gamechanger. In just 3 months, my cholesterol dropped by 25%, yep, went from an overall 280 - 220! My doctor was amazed, I think she wants to try and join, lol.
I feel great, feel strong and am very pleased about bringing my cholesterol down. In addition, lost 6 pounds total, lost 4 pounds of body fat, but it is the reduction in my cholesterol numbers that have made me the most grateful to this program.

Coaches are amazing. Everyone there is accepting and makes you feel welcomed! They hold you accountable, encourage and motivate. I have only gone to about 5 sessions so far but I feel my energy level is improving. It is a bit spendy however, all great things usually are. Its so worth it. They help you with your meal plans and you set GOALS when you start. It's about my overall health so I will pay anything to keep me healthy. They have payment plans if that is something you need. They work with you NOT against you. They are very flexible with the schedule of sessions throughout the day as well. Overall I recommend anyone looking to improve their health, mentally, emotionally and physically to come see us! LETS GO!!!

I have been to 6 sessions so far. They are accessible and non-intimidating. They are fast-paced and diverse and it’s over before you know it. I find it fun so far. We all (the attendees) seem like regular people, which helps me more comfortable. The coaches are very supportive.

I love Coach Andrea and her work outs, her high energy is super infectious.I got results at Fitbody, I regained balance I had lost and a lot of mobility and strength. I came to be able to do things I was never able to do before and I'm really proud of the progress I made. That being said, I don't feel that I personally got what I paid for (which was extremely high), and ultimately the treatment from one of the coaches made me leave after multiple very very bad interactions. I didn't feel like coming to a place I was no longer welcome in and paying a great deal of money for, for services promised that I never received. There was also very little concern when I was battling some pretty significant health issues, one being an injury sustained from the gym, and there was really no reach out during that time. I didn't feel like my coaches always had my back, and so I say this: you will progress here if you work hard, but you have to push yourself. I expected more connection from coaches.I wish Fitbody the best and it sounds like a lot was learned based on feedback I provided.

I have always felt that gyms can feel intimidating, non-inclusive and can add to decision fatigue when trying to create a work out plan that creates results. Fit Body Boot Camp addresses these things for me. The atmosphere created by the coaches and members is so welcoming. I come in 3x a week and know that I will have a dynamic and challenging workout (with modifications as needed) - all while feeling welcomed and encouraged. I have been going since November - and I have lost significant weight for my frame and getting stronger every day. Just 3.5 months in, I am feeling great in my body and in the healthiest shape I have been in the past decade. Though pricey for my personal budget - it is worth every penny for the physical and mental health benefits I am gaining along the way. Major shout out and gratitude to Coach Aimee, Coach Andrea, and Coach Sara for your dedication, encouragement, and enthusiasm with every workout session!

Several months going to this gym. And though the two main coaches are great, it's financial contacts and policies and not a lot of humanness. End of the day, you're trapped into a financial agreement both on the way in and the way out. I put in my 4 weeks notice to leave and they insist on charging me for 5 weeks, though I've not gone at all for weeks in a row. Unethical, corporate, BS. It's not cheap, on average at least $200 a month, and they only want the money. I will be taking my business away from this money drain. Unless you have the expendable income and desire for this type of control I suggest you also find somewhere else.
