Zoey and her team helped train our boy Diesel while we ran off and got married! We came back, did our training with her, and made sure to keep up with it at home. Diesel is about 90% off leash now, which I feel is what he loves mostly: having that confidence to be off leash and building that trust with us. We got back a better version of our boy, and we could not be more grateful! <3

By the time I found Rascal Training & Boarding, I was desperate because the previous day, my dog Millie (a rescue dog we had just adopted), got hold of a plastic pen and ate part of it! By the time we realized what happened, only a few shards of plastic were left. Although it safely passed and she was fine, I knew I needed some expert professional training to deal with her dangerous habit of eating foreign objects.
After reading the excellent reviews about Rascal Training & Boarding, we decided to enroll Millie in their 4-week Board and Train program. Zoe, the owner of Rascal T&B and also head trainer, was able to curtail that behavior in the 4 weeks that Millie was staying with her, and she gave us tools to keep Millie from reverting back. She also did general obedience training such as sit, stay, come, and addressed other concerns such as leash pulling, reactivity, potty-training, and off leash recall. Our family could see Millie's behavior has greatly improved since she came home. She still has her sweet, cute, exuberant personality but she is not as wild or impulsive as she used to be, and when she does something naughty, it is easy to correct her. We are grateful for the hard work that Zoe did to get Millie to where she is now, and we will continue to follow her training guidelines, so she doesn’t backslide. We are very grateful and appreciative to Zoe!

If you want your dog to be on the same wavelength and speak the same language as you, send them to Rascal! Zoe is amazing. We have a high-energy cattle dog mix, and at 8 months old, he stayed with Zoe for 3 weeks in April for advanced obedience. I was so nervous about leaving him (he's my first puppy!), but it was awesome to see his progress on their Instagram. When we picked him up, he got to show us everything he learned, and Zoe walked us through everything she taught him. He totally understands what we're saying now! He knows how to regulate himself and finds time to be calm. When he's playful, his recall is EXCELLENT and he comes right back, even if there's a lot going on. I took him camping a few weeks ago and got so many compliments on how well-behaved he is for being so young. Bowie also went and stayed at Rascal for a week in June, and having that safe space for him where he can fine-tune his skills while we are on vacation is a life-saver. I've been recommending Rascal Training to everyone I know, and I think you should send your pup, too!

We took our Red Heeler Gucci to Rascal Training for a 4 week board and train. Upon pick up we were immediately blown away by the skills he had developed during the time. Zoe made it very easy for us to understand our part needed to continue at home, her daily updates were amazing to watch the progress and growth our our busy anxious lil buddy. Our first day home gave us peace and we know with our continuing support of what Gucci has learn we will have the bestest boy for the rest of his life. We are so grateful to Zoe and her staff of amazing trainers, we are confident a great foundation has been set. We look forward to being able to reach out for any further needs Gucci may have. Bernie (15 month old Aussie) spent three weeks at Rascal Training’s Board and Train program. We had previously completed puppy obedience classes, but Bernie was still often over-excited by commotions or meeting other dogs (her behavior felt unpredictable in new settings, and it could be difficult to help her calm down). Zoe and her team did an amazing job teaching Bernie (and us, the grown humans!) how to stay calm and focused and how to recenter after distractions. After training, Bernie is able to navigate many new-to-her environments (construction sites, neighborhood baseball games, big parks) and is able to differently communicate when she is upset or interested in something (instead of barking, or pulling on her leash). Our neighbors have stopped us on walks to comment on her changed behavior, and others who babysit Bernie have shared that she is more calm and responsive! Highly recommend Zoe and Rascal Training for anyone considering training for their pup!

When we took Molly, our 7 month old Corgi to Rascal Training she was she was very difficult to control. She would jump and nip and rarely obey any commands. The biggest problem was coming when called. She had to always be on a leash. We are seniors and we were afraid we had made a huge mistake by getting a puppy. When she got back from Rascal Training, she was a different dog. Her sprit was still there, but she obeyed important commands. She was more affectionate and a pleasure to be around. I'm very impressed with Zoe, and the facilities at Rascal Training. I would recommend Rascal Training.to anyone who has a dog.

Rascal Training worked with my Husky mix for 4 weeks. Zoe took my 1 year old hyper dog and turned her into an AMAZING dog that I'm excited to take her places. Before my dog would not listen to me, bolt out the door, had selective recall, and would pull me like a sled. Now, I can have her off leash inside stores and she heels next to me perfectly. I get excited to take her places. She bolted out the door once when I first brought her home, but because of Zoe teaching me as well, I knew exactly what to do. She came right back to me and hasn't bolted since. I was worried initially that my dog would forget me or be listening out of fear or that her personality would change. But, she is still the same goofy, fun dog I had before. Now, she just listens when she is getting over the top. And I enjoy her so much more because it isn't stressful to take her places. Which means she gets to be with me more, which makes us both happier. Was also worried about the cost. Would it actually be worth the training and would I get enough out of it to justify the cost. And, YES! I tend to be a very frugal person, but this was the best decision I have made for my dog. And because I learned as well, my other dog is also benefitting from the training. I feel so much more confident in taking my dog places, it is definitely worth the cost! Hope this helps someone that is on the fence. It's a lot of money for those frugal people, but IT IS WORTH IT!!

Zoe and her team at Rascal are the best around! My pup Monty was really struggling on leash but after working with Madison, he is a completely different dog on walks now! She was so amazing at explaining how to use the training tools and what the techniques should look like. I learned so much working with her and had a blast in the process. If you are looking for training look no further because these guys know what they are doing!

We were on the fence about board and train. We interviewed several and didn’t come away with a peaceful feeling. When we stumbled on Rascal Training I was pretty convinced we were not going to send Hank”” but my husband really asked me to try to keep an open mind.
I have to tell you from our first interaction(phone interview) with Zoe, I was at ease, and ready to make the investment in our fur baby. We had pets in past and joke we ruined them. Spoiling them but struggling with non-preferred behaviors.
We settled on 3 weeks, we were so excited that Zoe loved on Hank as if he was part of her own pack. Zoe gave us updates as we asked questions and shared videos on instagram of Hanks progress and daily activities. Our fear about sending him, quickly switched to “he will not want to come home”.
We spent time studying the take home manual to prepare ourselves as we watched Hank from afar on video killing it. We call him a prodigy, but the reality is we needed someone that understood we loved and missed him, but also we would enjoy him so much more with good manners.
We sat in awe daily and texted each other at work when a video popped up only to say “ he’s doing it”. Without the direction, instruction, and most of all understanding of how we felt leaving our boy behind and what we were going to need to continue with his amazing progress. Hank is so fun now, we can answer the door, leave food on counter and turn our backs, walk him, and his recall is quick. His overall manners( despite his puppy brain) is so much more enjoyable.
If your wondering if board and train is for you, I highly encourage Zoe, and her team at Rascal Training.

Rascal Training did an AMAZING job with Nimbus! He is a high-energy 4 year old Australian shepherd who was struggling with leash reactivity. He would pull hard on the leash and bark loudly when we passed most dogs and all cats, and sometimes randomly people. I didn’t want my mom to walk him because of how rowdy he could get. I tried doing positive reinforcement training myself with an online program but made minimal progress over several months.
Nimbus completed the 6 week training at Rascal and made a dramatic transformation! He can now pass other dogs without issues and our walks are much more relaxing.
He is also able to pass by cats without a reaction. Photo included for proof :) I don’t think they even used cats in their training.
My mom has walked Nimbus multiple times since he completed the training and feels very comfortable with him now.
It was also fun for us, family, and friends to follow Nimbus’ progress on Instagram.
The tools they provided have helped us sustain his training, and they have been easy to teach to others like family members and our dog walker.
Overall he is calmer and more easily redirected, but still the same fun, joyful pup we love!
We highly recommend Zoe and the rest of the Rascal Training team!

I can’t say enough great things about Rascal Training. Zoe and her team completely changed my extremely anxious puppy’s life (and mine too). My dog wouldn’t walk down the street on a leash without being completely terrified. At one point, I was driving her to a nearby park to go potty since everywhere else was too scary for her. I reached out to Zoe for help and I was able to get my dog in for the 4-week program the very next month. The training my dog received completely transformed her into a much more confident and happy girl. Since training, I board my dog with Zoe while traveling and I’m so grateful for the peace of mind I have while I’m gone. If you’re considering Rascal for your dog, just do it. It’s worth every penny and more!

Zoe and her team at Rascal training did amazing work with our 2 year old golden-lab mix. His is a super sweet, confident, athletic and smart dog with a very strong prey drive which made walking our dog very challenging in our neighborhood which is filled with squirrels and bunnies. After we had tried all of the positive reinforcement training methods we had a consultation with Zoe. It was determined that it was time to give the e-collar a try. Zoe also noted he was too food driven and to use more verbal control than treats. In a short 2 week period of time Jackson has become a much calmer dog and we can now walk him past squirrels and bunnies without him becoming reactive. We rarely need to use the e-collar and primarily are using re-direction and verbal praise to manage his behaviors. Thank you Rascal Ranch!

We are so grateful for Zoe and her team at Rascal! We have two dogs, each with unique and frustrating behavioral issues that made it difficult to do much of anything. We couldn't take walks in the neighborhood or watch TV. We always had to have white noise on loudly in the house because they were so reactive to any noises. We'd tried training on our own and with one on one sessions with other trainers. We never managed to get anything to stick. Doing a 6 week board and train with Rascal was the best decision we could have made! Zoe is very response and accommodating. You can tell she genuinely cares about every dog in her care and she posts updates regularly, so you can keep up with your pup's progress! Our go home sessions were super informative and helped get us set up for success at home. I cannot tell you how much less stressful our day to day life is now. We have a lot of work to do still, but Zoe helped get us to a place where we can manage and not feel like we're drowning every day. She has continued to be supportive in our follow up sessions and we feel so much better knowing they have somewhere safe and educational to go for boarding when we leave town. If you're on the fence - just do it. It's so worth it!

Zoe and her team were amazing with our dog! Our dog is quite reactive to loud noises, very scent driven and likes to do the opposite of what we tell her! She spent 4 weeks at training and is a different dog! We had a lot to learn as large dog owners too and the materials, videos and 1-1 session really helps us help our dog succeed. The training program and space is fantastic and the communication and daily videos are so helpful. I highly recommend Rascal Training and we'll be back for boarding and more refresh sessions.

Rascal Training is wonderful! I always know my pup Figgie is in good hands when she is staying with them and I never have to worry. The frequent updates (including photos & videos) keep me reassured she is having a fun time and learning a lot. Figgie stayed with Rascal for a two week board & train this summer, and she came back with such great manners and learned so much. I now board Figgie with them when I go out of town, and she gets maintenance training as a result which is such a relief for me. I am excited to bring Figgie to their 4 week board & train program to learn off leash skills. Thank you soooo much Rascal for doing such an amazing job & keeping me stress free with boarding when I go out of town!
