This guys do great work at a very reasonable cost and stand by their repairs. I have only good things to say about them. We have been using their services for both of our Subarus several years already...
Before coming to SVS I had a misfortune of taking my good old Outback XT to another shop nearby that also claims Subaru knowledge. Without dwelling on that very negative and very expensive experience, I would just recommend that you do not repeat my mistake and talk to SVS first.

SVS did an engine rebuild for me. Communication was clear and quick, they did it in one week (could have been faster, but I think they had to wait on a part), engine bay came back super clean, they unexpectedly brought A/C back to life.
Price was reasonable, and they seem very good at what they do.

I find it really important to spread the word when an auto repair shop is exceptional and trustworthy. SVS Repair is both of these things. They are honest mechanics who are skilled and fair in their pricing. I rarely leave reviews online - my experience needs to really stand out in order to motivate me to leave a review. My experience with SVS is one that warrants a review so that others can be directed to quality, honest mechanics.

By far the BEST Volvo mechanic in Portland. We have trusted SVS with our Volvo S80 T6 and Volvo V70 T5 for the past few years and have never been disappointed. We actually discovered SVS when looking for a local Volvo shop who would inspect that V70 before we bought it. The team at SVS are professionals, their prices are more than reasonable, they are very honest mechanics who are trustworthy, and they know their stuff. We've brought in our Volvos for oil changes, brake fluid, engine repairs, inspections, and even just stopping by to quickly diagnose the vehicle when it had a simple problem. Best prices in town, professional repairs, friendly customer service, short wait times, and conveniently located in Multnomah Village for a coffee or some light shopping while you wait. 10/10 would recommend to anyone with a VolvoServices: Transmission
