I found everything I needed very friendly, some time the line could be long. But like any other grocery place.

I love looking near the bottom of my receipt and seeing 25, 35, 40% saved. The reason I choose Safeway is for the great variety, the freshness and the great sales. (Especially ice cream).

My cashier today was Marc and was super with all my coupons and digital coupons, plus my first-time redeeming the bottle drop, saved loads. Fast & friendly!

Oh my goodness, this is a fun Safeway if you're here for the first time! Does it count as the first if I was maybe there 40ish years ago, and I don't really remember it? Anyway, nice store. Clean, great selection, good ambiance, though I was there at 8 on a Saturday evening, so that could account for the p and q. I have no frame of reference. It's cold in there.
The under store parking rocks. Especially with the fun shopping cart escalator next to the people one, to get your goods safely to the parking level.

Meh. It's another overpriced Safeway.
7/6/24 Reduced to one star. Would give zero if I could.
A nice older lady had walked to the store with her bag of recyclables. When she got there, the Bottle Drop was jammed up. She nicely asked if they could clear it for her.
They told her in no uncertain terms no, the person whose responsibility the Bottle Drop was wasn't working that day. Which is a completely lame excuse. Apparently they take no responsibility, even though it's a part of their store. So nice older lady had to carry her bag of recyclables back home. In the record heat.
Some "customer service," Safeway. Soured me on ever going back to your store.

Sad to say I will no longer be shopping at this Safeway after 20 years. The maze of bars to get in and out , self service checkouts with a 50% success rate without needing assistance and recently the fried chicken deli meal was un-edible . My fault not watching what was put in the bag ? (at 5 pm- it appeared to be fried around noon). Just another example of quality and service going down after a merger (with Albertsons)

I was treated very disrespectfully by a white lady with long hair and glasses in the pharmacy. She wouldn't let me finish what I was saying and it turned out she was actually was incorrect about what she was saying. I've never left a review on anything before but this employees rudeness was exceptional. What is up with the huge lines?

This store is clean and well maintained. Check stand employees were all helpful. A couple of the stocking employees made some very disrespectful comments to me. But all an all good store

The women’s bathroom has two stalls. Zero of which lock properly. You literally have to hold one of them closed while you use the toilet and the other one you just put pressure on just right with the “lock” and cross your fingers no one pushes on the door to check if the stall is open. This feels like a major safety concern especially when children are using these stalls.

First and last time visiting this Safeway location. I didn't find what I was looking for. I decided to use the restrooms before leaving, and it was an awful experience. The door needed a pass code, which I could only get from self check out on the other side of the store. In the restroom, neither stalls had locking mechanisms. I could see fingerprints smudged all over the door from people holding it shut. When leaving, exiting was confusing. Because of the security features, I could not leave directly from any of the exits (or "an alarm will sound") and had to instead go through self check out. This was fine, but it was rather crowded, which added to the time it took to leave the store.
I got the impression that they were more worried about potential thieves than the customer experience. I've shopped at plenty of other Safeways and have never experienced one like this.

Not sure that I'll continue doing my shopping or getting my meds here with all of the new security features. The latest feature is a gate that bars your exit unless you scan your receipt with a finicky barcode reader. Customer disservice in the vain pursuit of corporate profits. I think I'll take my business to the employee-owned Winco and one of the many small pharmacies throughout the city!
