DO NOT GOT HERE! DO NOT GO HERE! And for good measure one more warning DO NOT GO HERE! If it would let me give a lower rating I would. This pharmacy is the worst place I have ever had to deal with. I am telling you DO NOT GO HERE! Save yourself the hassle. They take forever to fill a prescription. When I say that I mean over a week from when my doctor submits and sometimes they say they don't get the prescription. Then I have to wait till they fill all the prescriptions since even though they go in at the same time they do t fill them at the same time. Not to mention the line that they always have despite 5 people working in there at one time because apparently only one person at a time can handle pickups. They had the audacity today to tell me after cancelling my prescription that I should have gotten three calls and a text of which I have never received anything from them. I always have to look on the app which isn't even always accurate. I am telling you I almost never write reviews but this place is so terrible after today I needed to warn other people. I will be taking my prescriptions elsewhere even though they are the closest. To be fair this is just about the pharmacy.

Prices on the shelves are not necessarily what comes up at the registers. i.e. on the shelf Tums 28 count gummy $5.99 at register $6.99 with use of club card.

I don't understand all the hate for this Safeway; it's practically identical to every other Safeway in every other state in America. Same items on the shelves, same store lay-out, same services, same everything. I especially don't understand ranking this store lowly due to "suspicious people" loitering outside. The store can't really control the population hanging about outside, and a lone security officer can only do so much. I've been here a few times, and my daughter shops here regularly. This store is exactly the same as the Safeways I used to shop at regularly when I lived in the Seattle area, and it's exactly the same as the Bellingham, WA store I go to monthly. On my last visit to this store, they had some after-Christmas items severely discounted. I snagged a large-size Native shampoo and conditioner for over 50% off simply because they were candy cane scented. My kid found the OTC cold and flu meds she was looking for and some specific ingredients for a recipe she was planning on making. There was only one or two cashiers working when we visited (we were there early on a Sunday morning), but the lady who checked us out was pleasant and efficient. In short, nothing extraordinarily great or bad occurred during my visit here. It was a typical visit to a typical Safeway. The prices were decent with my kid's Safeway rewards card (if I didn't have that card, the prices would've been quite high). If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to grocery store.

I don't recommend their pharmacy but if you just need to pick up some groceries, there's nothing wrong with this place. They have a really good produce section. Good deli, and the staff is really friendly sure there's homeless people, but they can't help it.

It is a convenient local Safeway store in my neighborhood. I always get my fresh fruits and organic vegetables here. The whole store is clean, well-stocked with friendly staff. I had my flu and COVID booster shots at its pharmacy. Thanks for serving our community consistently

This review is regarding the pharmacy only: DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. I very rarely leave reviews for anything, but I'm hoping to save others from dealing with this horrible pharmacy. 1. Good luck calling. They simply don't answer the phone. No hold, just rings forever with no answer. I had to call over and over (like 8-10 times). I even called customer service to see if they were on break or closed. They told me they could see people working in the pharmacy but couldn't help me when I said no one was answering the phone. She said, honey, I don't know what to tell you, they're there but I can't do anything about them answering the phone. A lesser offense but still frustrating - I ordered a refill at 8 a.m. this morning and the refill was supposed to be ready at 4 p.m. My partner went to pick it up after 6 p.m. and they hadn't even started working on it. Just the worst customer service. Don't use this pharmacy.

Trying to get rx transferred from there, they 1) do not answer phone and pharmacy voicemail is always full, 2) do not know how insurance billing works, told me they needed info, which sent me on a wild goose chase looking for something that literally does not exist, 3) told me repeatedly-- and I had to visit in person for this--- that they had not rec'd the request to transfer my rx. They finally told me they would solve the problem and not to come back..... so 4) I called the main number and was hung up on, called back., they got the pharmacy to talk to me and they said "maybe they don't have our current fax number." At 4:58 on a Sunday. 5) called back and talked to Mick (manager?) and he said he'd look into it, and then let the call go to voicemail. Why isn't the fax on their website????? Yes, I tried repeatedly to get dr to send rx to Amazon, that's a whole other story.

Anyone who works here puts up with a lot of nonsense. Within their means they have reorganized the store. There is no (very little) camping that is close to the entry/exit or by the school. Given this neighborhood I think that is genuinely the best we can ask for -- safety and cleanliness. I never gets hassled like I am doing anything wrong as long as I abide by their posted guidelines. If I am carrying a big bag I throw it into my cart folded or closed and separate. I have never been given a dirty look for needing the bathroom. When cans rules changed and I was out of state they let me know so I could understand how things work now for collectors in the good. Prices are too much for anything these days but heck that is not their fault. I use their coupons on the app and it does the best for me. Their produce is reliable which means a lot to me. I don't get squeamish or worried about my purchases here. It's a reliable store. Yay one good review among everything that highlights this place's griminess-- it isn't more grimy than corporate'merica makes it to make the biggest buck and estrange the most fringe people. Human moment for them-- they didn't press charges on a known shoplifter once cause she was getting feminine products that time-- people do what they can within systems generally if you have an okay attitude.

I went to get groceries Thursday evening and bring back a bottle of wine my wife requested. Safeway has put all their alcohol in the middle of the store where you must purchase it at a checkout lane there instead of the regular checkout lanes. As I was leaving the store the wheels on (the anti theft) cart all locked shut and slammed into my shin and startled my 1 year old. Apparently if you do not take the cart of your already purchased items though a regular checkout lane or self checkout lane. The store thinks you are stealing items because they planned the checkout with the alcohol so poorly they didn't put a cart deactivator in it. At least this is what an employee informed me. This company has always put profits over people. Its evident when they dont staff enough checkers and force people into the long lines in the self checkout on their labor and time. I likely wont be visiting this Safeway or company for a long time in the near future. I see grocery stores have made some nice profits with their food markups over the last few years. I dont see that translate into how employees are treated or customers. Do better Safeway.

IF I COULD PUT NO STARS I WOULD. SO I WASNT GOING TO TELL PPL ABOUT THIS BUT THE MORE OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY HERD THE MORE I REALIZED I WAS NOT AT FAULT AND IT SHOUL HAVE NEVER HAPPENED AND THE LP THAT WORKS AT THAT SAFEWAY....THE VERY TALL HEAVIER MAN PROBABLY ON HIS LATE 30S SHOULD BE PUNISHED FOR WHAT HE DID TO ME ..THIS MAN APPROACHED ME RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOORS OF SAFEWAY AS 2 MANAGERS WALKED ME OUT THEY ASKED ME TO LEAVE 30 SEC AFTR I WALKED IN SO I DID AS THEY ASKED DIDNT FIGHT OR ARGUE. But B4 I could get all the way out the door there loss prevention came at me full force grabbing a hold of me and ripping my bag off my shoulder and began to smash me in the face and head over and over with it. He basically thrue me to the ground and the thru my bag at my head one last time then he picked up my brand new Google Pixel 7a cell phone and smashed it on the ground....all I could do was get up and walk away weeping mumbling bout how I couldn't believe how no one would even try to help me they just watched it happen ...I didn't no wat to do...so I wakes the 6 mile walk back to a max crying the whole time cuz I didn't understand why he did that to me when I did nothing wrong...I wasn't even in the store long enough to do anything wrong...this was on August 31st at 4:18pm my name is Michelle Murphy

I have been coming to this store for over ten years and have had nothing but good experiences.Until today. Ill preface this with the fact that I have no problem with staff being a bit curt if they are swamped. But not when they are literally doing nothing, and literally staring at the ceiling, even after I have requested help on the self checkout screen 3 times. But then to have to ask for assistance verbally, this person was just short of rolling her eyes because she had to do something.And then, after showing the person that the screen was telling me it couldn't process my transaction, she was condescending and rude about what was happening, hit a few buttons and just walked away. No explanation, no " sorry about that, sir", no " let's get that fixed for you", nothing. And absolutely zero sense of what it is to be in CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just rude, entitled disdain over having to help an actual customer.Then as I was letting, what seemed like an experienced co worker, know about my experience, the rude checker just piped up and said " It was me" as if she was proud of the exceptionally poor service she gave.I'm not sure if it's a lack of training, awareness where her paycheck comes from, or what, but there is definitely one or both of those present in this person.I'll be back because the good, at this store, far outweighs this checkers poor attitude and service to customers.

This store will remain at one star and I will refuse to visit it again until this is fixed. There is absolutely no reason I should have to wait in a massive line behind people with fully loaded carts just to buy a single beer or some soap and shampoo. They now have all of the so-called "high theft" items in a corral in the center of the store. You can't take anything out of there without checking out at the one register they have open there. This is absolutely ridiculous to treat your customers this way. I would have to plan to spend at LEAST half an hour in the store to get a beer or some soap. At the very least, you need to allow people with few items to go to self checkout from that area, not make them wait behind other people with fully loaded carts.

I wanted to give a shout out to the baker and decorator who made this cake you did an outstanding job ? the cake was everything I wanted. It was absolutely Gorgeous. Thank you so so much. It added the cherry on top for my birthday. Definitely recommend going to this bakery for custom cakes. Amazing job. ? again thank you so much!

Had I known the shopping cart was going to lock up the moment I walked out the door I would have purchased far less, if anything, from this store. Had to carry all my groceries in one trip and ended up hurting my wrist. I can understand security needs but this is completely too much. Do better.
