Returning home from a week camping in Sisters, OR. Decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. Salty's was just a couple miles from our RV park. They fit us in on a Saturday evening. Wonderful dinner, drinks, and the view is fantastic.

Great place to visit on my first time to Portland. The seafood chowder was absolutely amazing! They had halibut with risotto on special tonight and the halibut was quite overcooked unfortunately, had a tough time even cutting it with my fork. The risotto was spot on though! It's too bad because everything else was great along with the service and atmosphere. Very attentive wait staff all around. I'd go again for sure.

The Sunday brunch was $99. Fresh crab, made to order omelettes, pasta, crepes, pancakes and waffles. The clam chowder was so good, prime rib was fork tender. Dessert was low key lacking for the price tag.

Our server was patient, helpful, and willing to make suggestions. Salty's food is excellent. It's also not inexpensive. I was surprised at how great the Crab Mac and Cheese tasted.Parking: Valet only.

Tuesday nights is a very busy night at Salty's. It's 3 Course meal night for two (or 1 if you have two stomachs). We had a great view of the river from our table. Staff was friendly and quick and split our meal in two. It was still a ton of food. We started with a thick'n meaty clam chowder with dungeness crab on top. Then a dozen prawns slathered in savory butter and garlic mash potatoes under that. Lastly, a piece of white cake with delicious icing. All for $35.

Great views, good food and friendly service. The Caesar salad was a good way to start. Very light with crunchy homemade croutons. I had the lobster / shrimp meal with the champagne cream sauce. It was delicious. I love that sauce. I have been to Salty’s 4 or 5 times before, but this is now my go to entree choice. You will not be disappointed. My wife had the special salmon spring salad with a mango type dressing. She is GF and DF and loved that. I also had the lime-cranberry non-alocohol drink. It was ok but a little too much lime. Overall about $110 for two plus tip. Nice evening. Nice place.Dietary restrictions: GF and DF options.

Food ZERO stars! Very minimal actual seafood dishes. A total change to the past menu that was worth showing up for Both scallop dishes were drenched in the hottest chile oil it ruined the first 5 minutes I could feel the heat in my ears. My poor mother is not able to hand a lot and I even asked her if she was sure she wanted the other scallop dish. It came with rice and even the rice was spicy as can be. I am not spice intolerant. This was just a misuse of ingredients. I enjoy tasting my food. I had the Best Friends which was 4 small scallops, around quarter sized, and four or five pieces of pork belly. The pork belly was well cooked but in no way shape or form should the price of this meal been nearly $40. The scallops served to me were so small I though it was a joke, and NO SIDE dish came with my meal. Just scallops pork and micro greens. It should have been on the appetizer menu. Our waiter was kind, but in no way make up for the disappointing meal. I got the coconut cream pie and it was lack luster. The coconut cream portion was gritty. I can’t place what caused it even though I have work BOH at many many many restaurants. Final total $311 actual price of this same meal anywhere else in Portland, $100-150. This was the last visit we will ever be making to Salty’s. Fire your chef. He’s making horrible menu decisions!!! My children’s crème brûlée was delicious. Only good thing we ordered. I would like our money back, but we are the food. We were so hungry by the time we got there and based off the female managers attitude I would fear sending out plates back for the extreme spiciness because this is the kind of place that will mess with your food. you cam tell just by the female managers bad attitude.

Dietary restrictions: I’m not sure this is where mine fits but. I have been to salty’s before and have always looked forward to a specialMeal there when I am visiting from Omaha. This time makes me wonder if I will return. My meal was way to spicy to enjoy! I may feel as though it was because I am older but my daughter and son-in-law felt similarly. I LOVE scallops and picked your dish with garlic chili thinking the chili would not be that hot. The first bite had me asking for bread and hitting my water. My daughter had scallop, pork and something else. Her first scallop was spicy but the remainder not as much. The waiter let us know the horseradish with the clams was hot but said nothing about the main dishes. The service was wonderful as was the atmosphere. But the bottom line is I am from nebraska and come for the seafood. Don’t know if I will return.

Guillermo was an amazing waiter! I will be coming back just from the service we’ve received from him! Above and beyond!12oz Steak was fanatical! Well prepared and well portioned. The lobster tail was well prepared and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was a little busy and Guillermo was straight forward with everything. Guillermo made the experience wonderful, with our first visit, his presence alone will make us return for another great experience.

The brunch at saltys is incredible! I am still thinking about the Mac & cheese with the Cajun shrimp ? The Mac & cheese is seriously the best I've ever had! I really enjoyed the crab and the peel N' eat shrimp are so good, stand out cocktail sauce! The blackened trout was also delicious! I could seriously go on.. like don't get me started on the Prime rib!

We’ve been going to this restaurant for several years and this is a first: for a fine dining establishment, there was a nearby table loudly watching a game and playing music on their phones. This was in the middle of the dining room on a Thursday night, it wasn’t incredibly busy but it wasn’t dead either. I would thought the wait staff would have said something to the table but instead they laughed about it like it was a regular occurrence. Very disappointed in our experience even though the food was excellent as usual.

It’s so overpriced for what you get, not worth to spend here. The view is good if you only seat next to the window.
