Fantastic nursery and a truly special corner of the world. There’s clearly so much care put into preservation here, not just for native plants but for tending the land itself.
Excellent prices on native species, and they’ve also created a beautiful and educational walking path along a lagoon on the property.
Everyone was incredibly welcoming. Anya the dog is a total sweetheart, and they all were so kind an understanding when one of my pups wasn’t at her friendliest.
Highly recommend. A Sauvie Island jewel. Visits are by appointment. I came home with plants ... and ... a clearer sense of what’s possible when land is tended with care.

Lovely spot with knowledgeable staff and a very friendly dog. All the plants were spectacular. I bought a flat of native sword ferns as well as a few others and they are all thriving in their new home.

Absolute best nursery in the Portland metro area for native Oregon plants. Prices are much lower than the big name nurseries and they have a huge selection with plants for any type and size of gardening space. The owners are also extremely knowledgeable and are happy to be consulted with regarding the plants and what might be best for your garden. There is also a beautiful walking trail around a pond that has lovely views of the surrounding area. Definitely worth booking an appointment and driving a bit out of the suburbs.

A Sauvie Island gem! Staff is super helpful and they have a lovely path around the property that their adorable dog, Anya, will guide you around. Highly recommend this fantastic family-owned nursery for all your plant needs!

Scanning reviews - I can't really add much more to the comments already posted.
This place is a fairy land - favorite specialty nursery - wonderful people, beautiful area, great advice when you want /need it… on and on. Lots of birds and native plants on trail around a pond and along the Gilbert River. Anya has matured and is more laid back nowadays. She is still likely to join you on a tour.

This is my favorite nursery for native plants! They have a great selection, and it’s beautiful to stroll around the pond (bonus: there’s cute dogs too!).

This place is incredible as a native plant nursery and also as a destination in and of itself. It may be out of your way, but it is 100% worth the drive.
While we love our nearby garden centers, as we have pushed to plant more Oregon and Willamette native plants we have found almost all of them lacking. That is not the case here. A wide variety of native plants, clearly labeled (PPL, Coastal, etc) and with tons of great information.
The staff were all very friendly and great at making suggestions and providing additional information when you need it and letting you explore on your own when you don't!
The property itself is gorgeous and it's definitely worth leaving enough time to walk around the trails they have carefully maintained with tons of examples of beautiful native plants.

Amazing selection of native plants here!
There is also a beautiful walking trail full of inspiration. We brought our dog since leashed and friendly dogs are welcome, and the staff encouraged us to take a little walk around with him. Their little Aussie dog Anya trotted along with us, which was also adorable.
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, they helped us find some great plants for a native plant privacy hedgerow we are working on, plus some other lovely native flowering perennials and an Oregon white oak, which were very excited about.
Appointments are required, just something to keep in mind, but once there you are absolutely encouraged to take your time and browse.
New favorite nursery, we will definitely be going back!

Great little place with a huge impact on native plant selection, by appointment only makes it difficult for some.

Great tour around the lost lagoon . Anya, the tour guide was very specific about which spots we had to check out!

Such an awesome place. Super helpful, plants are healthy, property is stunning, prices are right. So much happy wildlife around their property, too. You might see some of the fattest, happiest little bumblebees humming around. Plus they have a super cute pup and a very sweet cat. :) I'll be back!

As a relatively new transplant from San Diego I have enjoyed learning about plants native to the Pacific Northwest and plant my small area with native plants.
Sauvie Island Natives is first stop because of their helpfulness, expertise and wide selection of native plants...all of which have flourished in my garden and are now coming back after Winter dormancy.
There is also a peaceful walk around an adjacent pond and meadow with comfortable seating to just sit back for a few minutes and enjoy the peace and beauty of the island...a few miles and worlds away from the city
