Friendly, adorable, and perfect! Carries stuff you won’t find anywhere else. If you enjoy stuffed animals and you’re unsatisfied with the usual big brand stuff, you need to come here.

Really fun toy store for kids. There were some really cute and awesome toys here and it’s always nice to support a small business. Everything is well made so it is pretty expensive.

GOD is in the details. Incredible toy Shoppe, beautifully curated and stocked with exquisite toys and wonders from around the globe. The details down to the custom tiles at the cash wrap to the vintage wonderland feel of the buildouts and vibe of the store is brilliant. You can find everything from the cutest stuffy to builder toys to magic, it has everything. Portland is lucky to have a shoppe like this here as it is a standout and offers a different take on a toy shoppe from all the others. Merci Milo should be on everyones list to visit. Bonus it is owned, ran, and operated by a woman of color.

Beware: The refund or return policy of the store is nonexistent. I only know the store through their website and made an online purchase. There are no stores near Sacramento. I purchased over $230 in one order, however I was not happy with one item, the black cat Halloween surprise ball priced at $26.55 + tax and shipping. It contained very few, extremely cheap items: fortune cookie fortunes and a few Cracker Jack box trinkets that end up in the garbage. Nothing vintage or vintage-inspired as their Web page states. For appr. $30 this item is a rip-off. Not worth the price for a bunch of crepe paper. There is no policy for returns or refunds. When a refund was requested via email, the response was nasty and turned personal. Please know online shoppers rely on trust and honesty as we cannot personally view the items purchased. A refund could have been issued or even an apology, instead I was shamed. "Why was I not pleased with the cat ball when it is from a very good company?" "No one else has complained." I will not purchase again from this store. They do not stand behind their customers. There is no formal refund or return policy. No apology, no discount, no refund. Think twice if purchasing online. Not nice and a lousy experience.

Such a fun lil' toy store. Lots of unique and nostalgic things. 3 & 6 year-old grandlittles found lots of things that interested them.

Love, love, love this toy store. I've been here a few times now and it has the greatest selection of unique, handmade, and small business owned toys. Everything in the store feels so intentional and special. A bit on the pricey side, but you can find items for every budget. You're paying for quality and selection though. I'd much rather spend a few extra dollars at a store like this than support amazon to save a few bucks. Great for gifts, however, I'm not sure about their return or exchange policy because WHY would I want to exchange anything from this store? It's been a fun treat to come here for my own baby boy and choose things that make me happy since he could care less about what he gets at this point. As he gets older I can't wait to see what he gravitates towards and chooses for himself.

This shop is absolutely adorable, and the selection of toys is unique and charming. The customer service, however, is so indifferent that we will not be back. My husband and nine-year-old daughter and I were having lunch down the street on Saturday afternoon when we walked past this shop and decided to stop in. This is not our neighborhood so it was our first time here, and one of our first times shopping in-person in years. Our daughter was thrilled and bounced around happily, exclaiming over how cute it all was. Two saleswomen could not be bothered to stop their personal conversation long enough to acknowledge her (or anything she said), let alone us. They continued to talk to each other, ignoring us, while we walked around the store. How rude and awkward, especially in such a small space. My husband and I were actually laughing about it as we walked out — “Okaaaaaay! Uh, thanks!” I couldn’t have felt less like pulling out my wallet, and will definitely go elsewhere for our next birthday-party gift, in spite of how tempting all the sweet toys were.

This is one of my absolute favorite children’s shops! My 2.5 year old daughter and I both love visiting. It’s simply magic. Carol, the owner sources the most beautiful and playful goods from all over the world. I love her selection of European toys!! I recently did a pop-up at Merci Milo with my paintings and textiles. I loved the sense of community I felt that day from both her staff and sweet customers. I think this shop ignites the imagination of both parents and children. Do visit if you’re in the Portland area!!

Merci Milo is thee cutest shop, so warm & welcoming! Every corner takes me back to my childhood, it’s quite emotional actually. The rare toys I have always wanted as a kid are here, along with other thoughtfully selected toys & books. I was also fortunate to have met two of my favorite illustrators in person here, Carson Ellis & Jon Klassen. Bring the little ones or treat yourself because this shop is a dream for all ages :) Happy to have Merci Milo in Portland!
