Hidden fees. They charge for having a spouse as an extra driver. I find that absurd. Even if you are not married I would find that absurd.

Portland location are scammer and exploit people. I booked a car from Sixt through Expedia. I was greeted by a polite African American lady in her late 20s early 30s. She immediately told me good news we can upgrade you to a BMW M3! Told her great let's do it, then she proceeds to tell me it would be an additional $68.00 dollars. If you're offering an upgrade the price should be the same. According to Expedia's paperwork car was 188.50 with all taxes and fees. When I went to sign for the car the total was $268.00. When I asked why the difference her exact words were taxes and airport fees. I showed her my paperwork and she proceeded to tell me this was Expedia's price and that their price was different. I told her I wanted to cancel and asked for a refund. She told me this would be within 4 business days. I proceeded four booths down and rented from Avis paying $214.85. While talking to the young lady she wished me a belated happy birthday and mentioned our birthdays are the same day 11/28. I bring up the conversation of our birthdays because this Sixt location told Expedia first that I cancelled for no reason at their desk in Portland, not stating a reason. I called Expedia and that was the information Sixt received. When I told Expedia yes, I cancelled and my reasons they stated they would call Sixt back. Today 12/21/23 I called Sixt first and Clifford in customer service stated their records indicated that I was a no-show. Their policy states no refunds for no shows. This was the franchisee avoided refunding me my $188.50, by lying. This franchise is offering the lowest rentals and then once you arrive sign the paperwork you get the surprise of the additional cost. Most people are in a hurry, and they say shine the additional charges and move on. I'm just letting people know this location for Sixt is a scam, BECAREFUL!

Customer service is poor. After talking to three different representatives not one of them were polite and constantly argued. Wether pursuing who I needed to talk to clarify charges on a damage report or to connect them with a insuranice company I have to pay or the charges. Compairable to talking with an used car salesman that doesn't hear anything you have to ask but being redirected with simple sa irrelevant to the question.

From the very beginning of check in/car pick up it was a great experience. The woman that helped us was incredibly kind and explained everything well. The car exceeded expectations and was very nice for the price of rental. We got a BMW X3 which was perfect for winter in Oregon. The drop off was as seamless as pick up with signs guiding you back to the rental drop off and where to drop your keys. I would definitely recommend SIXT to anyone renting a car.

Adrienne was super sweet in helping me and my partner get a car! we had lots of fails renting at other companies but she was set on finding us a car and at the best price! she was super sweet and i loved her spunk, thank you to Adrienne for relieving some anxiety on our vacation :)

I recently made an online reservation with Sixt for the amount of €400 to rent a vehicle. When I went to pick up the car, I was informed that my digital credit card on my phone was not acceptable, they required a physical card. This requirement was not specified anywhere in the online reservation process.Although I was able to get a physical card from a friend, it was also not accepted because it was not in my name. I tried to propose several solutions, but Sixt did not accept any. Finally, I was unable to rent the reserved vehicle and lost the €400 previously paid.This experience was extremely frustrating and generated a lot of inconvenience, since I had to find another rental provider at the last minute. I believe Sixt should be more flexible with their payment policies and refund charges when they cannot provide the reserved service due to these undisclosed limitations."

We need to be careful when we return the car. If the returning inspector asks you to sign, it is not just signing for check-out. It can be an agreement of car damage which we did not make. Please read the above section of what you are signing.If you want to rent a car, it is safer to get insurance ( cover the car ) for $35/day because they can claim later any damage or scratch which we don't know. I think it could be a scam but we can not prove it after returning the car. For this reason, it is also a wise idea to take many photos of the car from different angles before driving out and in.They usually charge $400 - $480 for a scratch not covered by your insurance because of the deductible. You can find these stressful stories from other's reviews on Yelp with Sixt and most rental car companies.I attached the shocking Return Checksheet which came after returning the car.

Adrienne well you all know already she's the best. I definitely recommend her. The politeness and help she assisted us with was exceptional she was really efficient with carrying out all the essentials to get us to our car rental as soon as possible. Very friendly and easy to talk too.

Best experience!!!! We arrived in Portland and had issues with the original rental car company. My daughter talked to the manager Danica. She was amazing and helped us out original rental car company ran into some issues but Danica helped us out and even upgraded to a BMW. She was warm and kind and very professional. Helped us have what could have been big disaster to such a positive experience!!!! The car was beautiful and so smooth to drive. Pick up and drop off so easy. Never heard of this company Sixt before but will now be the first company I search for when I need to rent a car!! Thank you!!

Easy process. Reserved on app. Arrived and they had us skip the line and just head right to the parking garage to pick up . The last checking in was pleasant and efficient. Drop off- was just as easy . The gentleman checking our car back in was prompt and caring. Sixt is a hidden gem. Thanks guys!

Check in was easy! Dude that helped me was super respectful. Prices were cheap! Drove in a super nice super clean BMW, literally want to trade my car I have now for a new BMW! Check out was east also.

I’m 100% sold on the continuing service that SIXT provides. If my chosen car is not available, it’s always a free upgrade! The automobiles are always VERY clean and in mint condition. The best part of renting is the stellar customer experience. EVERYONE start to finish is an absolute joy and seem to truly enjoy what they do! Thank you, Danica! I will never, ever rent from any other company. PS. I kinda hate to say this, but no lines, no waiting.
