I tried to get assistance from this agency in Januray 2023 I was 8 months pregnant as well. I was looking for rental assistance because i was 10 days late on rent. The lady from Vincent said they rather me get evicted so they could "possibly" help with my next security deposit instead of helping me with my current rent. Wouldn't even give me the $200 in assistance they were giving to everyone else. Mind you, I'm a black woman so it already rubbed me the wrong way. These folks don''t do anything meaningful for the community lets be honest, just white people who THINK they're doing something.

They've helped me out of a few jams back before covid and their offices were open. Now that they rely solely on a phone system I have been hung up on that system while at the near front of the line twice now. I call back immediately but it errors at least twice before the call goes through, sometimes upto four times. Today, I went from 6 with 30min in, to 47 from 54 in 30 min. Wouldn't be a big deal but I don't have unlimited minutes. Whole place is a scam.

They truly are a wonderful organization. They care so much about helping people. They give so much. And have many different avenues for community outreach. Very friendly and professional staff. Was so grateful and thankful they were there when i couldnt work. They helped me with my pge bill and delivered food boxes to my home. I'm truly grateful to them for evrrything.

Over 30 years ago, SVDP, helped house, feed, and clothe me. I was humbled.I excelled in life and now I am extra grateful because I have a place to refer my 30 year old daughter to in her time of need!I'm so grateful to God for the trials that now allow me to exercise them as "wisdom"!
