The lap pool is sparkling and the staff are constantly monitoring water quality. Love the giant windows everywhere, very bright and spacious! Also the hot tub is giant!

Family fun and worry/sunburnt-free! These days I'm all about finding that perfect balance between work, spending time with loved ones, while enjoying activities. That's why I'm obsessed with this new find in the Southwest community! This neighborhood community center has cool activities like two indoor pools. One is designated for laps- 9 feet deep and the other includes a wading pool with slide, up to 4 ft and 6 inches at the deepest. I also love that there is a shower and lockers open for use so you can clean up before heading to the pool. The kids seem to absolutely love it - there are tons of other families with little ones. Open pool time is ~ 2-4pm, go early so you can get in. There's a capacity limit, our visit happened to be 75. If want to make it, BE THERE EARLY. Can not stress this enough. It is not the staff's fault if you can not get in. There are standards for a reason. You do not want to be cooped up in a space where it can not accommodate for more than what's expected. You also want to keep in mind that there are lifeguards to look out for everyone's safety and well being, so please be mindful of that as well! There are also other parts of the center to enjoy, such as an indoor basketball gym, rollerskating sessions, aqua aerobics, gym, and even dancing. It's the perfect blend of family-friendly fun and adult-approved relaxation. If you're looking for a place with a strong sense of community, stunning scenery, and a pool that's basically its own mini-vacation destination, then this is your spot! Totally recommend it! P.S. If you ever see me poolside with a noodle in hand, say hi! I'm learning how to swim - and it's fun to make some friends while we're at it!

Great for families. Even has a fun, big slide. Zero entra and super shallow kid end are perfect for toddlers or those who are a bit afraid of water. The water temp was a bit chilly but there was.a.sign up saying they were trying to fix it.

It was the best facility to exercise and go swimming. But, walking up the steep hill from route 10 to SW 45th Street and Cullen Street is very treacherous

Pool is constantly being closed. Staff and managment do not care about being accessible to families

If your kids are interested in the waterslide, better tell them it's just for looks. I've tried several times and ended up with a couple of disappointed kids. They only have it open 2 hours, and the pool is subject to a lot of closures. During the heat wave they could've been everyone's heros but they closed the waterslide because the heat at the top of the slide makes it uncomfortable for the lifeguard who is working there. Seems odd they couldn't figure out a rotation system or put a fan nearby. After all, it's just 2 hours. I worked freeway constuction in Southern California. I guess I have a different idea of conditions that are too hot to work in than the die hard lifeguards at SW community center.
