Delivery guys were great. In and out fast. My only complaint is that they attached my washer with the cheapest hose imaginable. It’s not even gonna work and might already be broken. It must have cost $.50. You should carry higher quality and more flexible hoses and offer them. I would gladly have paid $20 while they were here to not have to now buy a hose, pull my washer out, and attach it myself. You could even offer/recommend it when I’m in the store buying it. I have an $800 washer using a 50 cent hose.

Second review in as many days, for this place, and my opinion has only gone down. My "in stock" range that I was assured would be installed within 2-3 weeks TOPS is now two months in and still not installed. Some delays couldn't have been avoided - ice storms can't be controlled, and I was sunshine and rainbows about being told that deliveries were backed up several weeks because of the storms. But this latest delay is all on Standard; when my initial delivery couldn't be completed because of electrical issues with our kitchen, the delivery guys (who were great) left the new range in my dining room and told me the installer would be out in 9 days and would bill us after specing out the job. Sounds reasonable. Only that's not what happened. 9 days go by, I hear nothing from the install team, and finally call that afternoon to see what the ETA might be only to find out that a $100 install fee that I was never told about or invoiced for hadn't been paid, and so they never actually put me on the schedule. They saw me in the list; they saw the unpaid fee; no one called to collect payment or even checked to see if an invoice had been sent. At that point I was told it would be another 2 weeks before they could come out - so three weeks with a range sitting in our dining room, and another three weeks with our old (broken) stove. So I left my first review - 2 stars. Lo and behold, suddenly they had better availability, could they come in 6 days? Sure. Oh wait, how about tomorrow?!?! GREAT! Come tomorrow, I love it. But guess who called today - yep, they bailed on me and said it'll be another week now. I just want to be able to cook for my family again, without using hot plates and electric griddles. It's been two months.

So far customer service in dealing with a warranty issue on something I bought 3 years ago has been a complete joke. Warranty I purchased was never activated, follow up phone calls back to me not made when promised, a rude person handling the phone in the service department. Don't bother asking a clarifying question as it will be met with her condescendingly repeating what she just said in a harsher tone without being helpful in any way. Just waiting on a part now but can't get any info and in the meantime I've been without a washer/dryer for a month. Remodeling my kitchen soon and I know where I won't be buying my appliances.

Excellent service from Andrew on selecting a mattresshe is super knowledgeable and customer focused gave me great help and a great deal.Now I must add to my review because the delivery service that I received was excellent. They pay their own drivers and have their own truck sound learned and that’s one key to their superb service.These guys were extremely careful with the product and making sure that they cause no issue for the house. These people were great is what I must say one of the guys named Mike and I can’t remember the other fellows name but super friendly and helpful

They're pretty much the go to company for appliances in the PDX area. Some other places cover the high end somewhat more intensely.Their location on 82nd has a larger selection.I definitely visit them whenever we're looking for something.

The sales person that I interacted with was good. He was personable and helpful. The selection of dishwashers in my price range was less than I expected. I ended up purchasing a floor model Frigidaire, at a discount. Yesterday it was to be delivered and installed, and I had heard nothing about the 2 hour delivery window that I was to be given that morning. The delivery had been confirmed by my on line signature. I called the store and was routed around a bit. I found out that the floor model was at the warehouse, but was missing some "hoses". I was not notified that there would be a delay in delivery. Richard, was very helpful and tracked things down for me. It was not possible to deliver it yesterday, but it was delivered and installed this morning. The man who installed it was very nice and proficient. I have purchased appliances at Standard in the past. The experiences were mostly satisfactory. I would not rule out patronizing them again, however, I think that they need to up their communication with the customer game.

I've purchased a fridge and dishwasher from this Standard TV & Appliance location so far. It's been a positive experience. Quick and easy with good pricing options. Delivery process was fast and friendly. I'll continue to be a repeat customer!

Installation rescheduled for a week later. No one told us! Dishwasher install happened today and the kickboard is installed either incorrectly or too far back so now you can see the subfloor beneath the dishwasher. Looks terrible. Called the installer and he dismissed me "that's how it works." Have purchased three dishwashers from these guys, but this is the last time.

Great appliance store. I have purchased a front loader washer, dishwasher, and range. Now comes the refrigerator. They have been so good at removal and installation.

We were in need of a new cooktop and stopped by the store on 82nd. We were greeted by Joe (Shocker sp?) ! He was very friendly and accommodating. He spend a lot of time with us, reviewing all options. He scheduled a evaluation of our kitchen area, as we had some challenging issues. While we waited for that date, he checked in several times to see if we had any additional questions. As it turned out we didn't buy from him, primarily because the installation was too expensive and he couldn't get the cooktop we wanted for 4 or 5 weeks. They also wanted to do some cutting on our granite, which we found out wasn't necessary. That is why we deducted a star in this review but as far as Joe was concerned, he is a five star employee and a definite asset to the company!

We are new to Portland and normally don't take the time to leave reviews but thought it prudent here. Not knowing where else to go, we went to Standard TV & Appliance to shop for our kitchen remodel. The Salesperson was distracted, didn't fully listen to our needs and didn't have the best selection. After a considerable amount of time in the store, we decided to start over and go somewhere else. Big loss for this company. If you want nicer than standard appliances and, on a timeline, do not waste your time, go somewhere else.
