  Got the 5 x 15 unit in June for a 2 bedroom house worth of stuff, and checked out in December. Building stayed fairly consistent temperature, nice and dry, no sign of any pests or mold, no funky smells. Check in and check out were pleasant and quick--- overall one of the smoothest storage unit experiences I've had. You do have to buy the storage facility's own lock, but the coded gate system was very secure. I would highly recommend this place. 😁

  I've been using this storage facility for about 3 years. It was always a breeze to move to different spaces depending on my needs. Kori was always a pleasure to see, and always friendly. They have lots of move in specials, good rates, insurance is cheap and it's very secure. Highly recommended!

  Our best storage experience ever! The owners are super smart, kind and on site. Access is safe and easy and storage spaces are immaculate. During our 2-year downsizing and moving process we rented a large, ground floor space with easy car access, making what could have been an exhausting episode in our lives smooth and supported. You're in great hands at the Stop-Room on SE 17th and Holgate!

  Woman who works there is super nice and awesome, Cori maybe is her name? I hope Management is at least good to her. My experience with management however, is that they are shady and petty. I rented a unit and was told after I signed for the unit that it was on the second floor and their elevator was broken. So, I cancelled my rental which the person working said was totally reasonable because she is a decent person based in reality. At the time I had a broken foot, not that it matters anyway, the things I need to store would be impossible without an elevator. I was told the elevator would be fixed on the following Thurs, in fact they even called me the day before to remind me. I waited til Saturday, assuming it was fixed, and signed another agreement, only to be told again that the elevator wasn't fixed. Of course I'm going to cancel again. Why would I purchase a unit I can't use? A month passes and I call to make sure the elevator is working and I'm told by super nice woman there that their manager said I was banned from being rented to, because I cancelled those times. What a petty response that goes against your own interests. Clearly I wanted your business, just under fair and reasonable conditions and now I'm banned, which by the way, I'm sure violates disability law and is just bad business practice altogether. Way to due business for your competitor down the street at West Coast.

  This place is very good. Kori and the staff are so helpful. The units are clean, safe and spacious. No hidden fees and a good value on the mandatory insurance. They give you a lock with every rentals with two keys. You do have to bring a light as the units don’t have overhead lighting.

  Absolutely awful experience here.l to say the least. Experienced a break in in our unit. Management repaired the door, continued charging full price, then two months later told me we had to move units because ours was “still not secure.” I asked why they were charging me full price for a unit they knew was unsecure? She said because they didn’t have another unit for me to move into. I’m sorry, you hid the insecurity of the unit from me rather than allow me to decide to stay or go?
  
  It was hard to have a conversation with her on the phone with her boss/husband yelling over the top of her behind her too.
  But luckily she gave him the phone so he could yell at me about how this was just how it was and they weren’t going to give me a dime back.
  
  To add insult to injury: The guy that works the weekends is also the most condescending customer facing employee I’ve ever encountered. I have repeatedly been stuck in the facility because the gates do not function properly. He is snide, rude, and cannot be bothered to leave the office to use a remote control to release you from their compound. The gates are either wide open when you arrive or your passcode won’t work at all.
  
  Over priced, insecure, condescending, unapologetic, it’s an actual joke.

  I have a great deal of confidence in Brian, Kori, and Torrence at Stor-Room. They are committed to a clean, safe self storage facility...and the results are obvious. The grounds and units are well-kept, the office is professional and answers my questions, and I even hear there are some great upgrades coming like entry/exit with my iPhone!

  I've got a story to tell...
  
  So, about a month ago I decided to move cross-country from Portland to the East Coast, and when I moved all of my stuff out, I forgot to unlock my unit and notify the owner that my unit is open and that they can close my account. Well, after that unfortunate realization, I mailed the keys to my lock over to my Mother to help unlock the unit so I don't get charged storage fees for an empty unit. My mom receives the package, only to find a hole in the envelope and the keys missing from the package.
  
  I tell Kori (owner of Stor-Room Mini Storage) about my unfortunate circumstances, and she works with me so that I don't get banged over the head with another monthly payment for an empty storage unit. She offers to cut the lock herself (after having me fill out a form for liability I'd assume); and what's more, she finds a couple of furnishings that I had forgotten to remove as well!! At this point, I am thinking I am SOL and will need to pay for another month to allow time for my mom to come by and throw away the extra items in the storage unit....As my brain starts to spiral into despair, Kori offers to throw away the items for me!!!! FOR FREE!!!!!!
  
  Long story made short, I HIGHLY recommend Stor-Room Mini Storage because they treat their customers right, they have clean, safe, and secure storage at a very reasonable price, and they are locally owned. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?
