$9.00 for two hot drinks? I guess you'll pay a little more or a little less elsewhere. My cup of Americano was resoundingly okay.Seeing a tip jar for counter service irks and embarrasses me, especially when one considers how much Stumptown Coffee Roasters charges. If there isn't enough profit to pay the staff a good wage when you want nine bucks for two drinks, add a dollar to the up-front price instead of putting me on the spot. I'll take it or leave it.

Comfortable and pleasant coffee choice when in Downtown. The baristas are awesome, especially to my doggo. I also love that they have Ellenos ?

When Ace Hotel first opened you could get Stumptown delivered room service. Like the grand cafes of Buenos Aires, a staff member brought it to you on a silver tray. I didn't even drink coffee until I experienced this place. The love and attention to detail and pride the whole team takes in their work is evident. They are black belts, grandmasters of their trade and make it look easy. Take advantage of this holy land of coffee before they change locations! It will be the end of an era. It's my first stop every time I'm in town.

One of the original, and still best, of Portland’s homegrown coffee roasters.

I love Stumptown. The coffee, atmosphere, and pastries are fantastic. If you are going, check out the Mint Matcha and the pistachio crescent.

The last time I was in Portland, I went to Stumptown near Voodoo Donut, and it was great. This time, I went to the one on Harvey milk, and I had to put powdered espresso in the coffee, and I had to ask them for more half and half. It's not a great location for me, but then again, I'm a straight celibate Nun that must be the reason why I'm thinking.

First time visiting a Stumptown coffee roasters afters hearing about the brand pretty often throughput my life in Portland. I found the cappuccino to be pretty good, nothing outstanding and unexpected but just good! This shop is very small, meant for a quick in and out instead of relaxing inside. The music inside is also pretty loud so only go here if you want a drink and go on your way.

While I consider myself a coffee *snob*, I look to the high-end coffee shops to reset my reference point. I was in the Portland airport, and noticed the huge "Stumptown Coffee Roasters" sign. It has to be good, right? One of my biggest pet peeves is coffee shops that have great equipment, great beans (Hairbender is one of my favorites), but due to poor training or supervision, the end result is poor. In this case, the pull was ok, but the milk steaming was horrible - just a big marshmallow glob of steamed milk on top. In theory, Latte art is nice but also is a testament to perfectly steamed milk. Sorry, Stumptown, I expect (ed) better...
